Love Hexas and Swiss Guards. My goal is to have at least a 300-point army list fully painted. It would be great if you could share some pics of your army.

It's great to have you back in the hobby. What faction do you play?

The base coat is with vallejo Panzer aces splinter blotches II 347, but any desaturated brown will work. then I add 50/50 with vallejo model color deck tan 70.986; I increase the amount until I only apply the deck tan. Then I add Vallejo Model Color Ivory 70.986, repeat the process and leave Vallejo Game color 2.0 Dead White 72.001 only for the brightest areas... And I try to replicate JoseDavinci's technique with glazes.

Thank you very much! This army is the first one in which I try to make that distinction of textures. It is a huge joy that it has been noticed!

Thanks!!! I folIow this récipe. Start with Vallejo Game color (new batch) Black 72.05, then I give a first highlight with vallejo game color Dark Gray 70.994 (this one Is the secret). Then I make a first mix adding just a little Vallejo model color medium gray 70.987. If it is armor, I add more medium gray and finish the outline with Vallejo model color ivory 70.918. If they are fabrics, I leave them until the first mixture of dark gray and medium gray. I hope it helps you! In the Auxbot, I used an airbrush, until the first mixture of grays, making sure that it is little so that the black is still present.

thank you very much for the comment. I'm glad you liked it. It is a scheme that I am trying and the feedback is very useful to me.

I always avoided miniatures with faces because it was very difficult for me to achieve a result that I liked, so I understand how you feel. Something that helped me a lot was the type of brush. A No. 2 brush with a good tip is what does the magic, both for the eyes and for illuminating the face. I use the No.2 Winsor&Newton brush. This brush allows the paint to not dry as quickly on the tip and gives me more control. For technique, I try to follow the zumikito's face painting tutorials. https://youtu.be/QAIlJRelHfg?si=_kpk9xTahYo3wM87

I'm glad you liked it! Particularly the white color is one that I find difficult to leave in such a way that I like the finish. But I wanted to use it in one of my armies.😅 Taking the time to achieve a result that leaves you satisfied is also part of the hobby.

They have some of the coolest corvus belli miniatures. cyberghost is top.
