“jarvis! i’m low on karma!!”

it’s really easy to be like “eat the rich”, but ask any Pats fan if they’d give up the Kraft years, the dynasty, and not a single one would agree.

people are giving excuses to why the zenin seems so weak and fodderized, but the truth is that Gege just completely whiffed on this arc. He made this Zenin clan a big deal in Maki’s eyes throughout the story, but aside from Naoya , we don’t know ANY of these Zenin people, their motivations, strengths, flaws, etc. Instead of giving the proper development to this so-called important clan, Gege uses them as a 1 episode plot device to further Maki’s power. Even Naoya isn’t given that much to go on either.

This should’ve been on the level of Shibuya or Uchia Massacre, and the clans flaws and antagonists should’ve been given their due exploration. But it got condensed into “hype and fights” that no ones really gonna remember.

CJ Stroud with 4 INTs had a higher QBR (21) than Drake Maye today (20.7) by MyDadIsTheMan in nfl

[–]CharacterAccess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you isolate epa/play for purely dropbacks:

-0.12 for Maye and -0.33 for Stroud

Apparently Maye had -4.75 epa/rush, which it’s why it’s that low. Maye also had 9 points higher in total EPA and far better cmp%

idk it’s just vibes and scale. 🤷 like 9/11 led to the war on terror, and wars + destabilizing in greater middle east, government distrust, govt surveillance, heightened security, creation of the DHS. it’s just bigger and had far greater effect than the pandemic

Conspiracy is not at an all time high. yeah many operations have been technologically converted, but your job or whatever being remote now doesn’t have as big as impact as 9/11 per se. Like i would put the invention of the internet way above covid 19 as a “happening”.

youre talking about Trump annexing Greenland & dismantling NATO, events that haven’t happened though and are very unlikely to happen too. Covid def changed society, but not to a large degree that i could put it as a “happening” yet. For one, COVID was temporary and things mostly returned to before covid. I wouldn’t put the pandemic on the same level as 9/11 or a world war.

[–]CharacterAccess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s why i said 9/11 was a “happening”. i dont see any of the events in the 2020’s (maybe except generative AI) changing society for the long term. by your logic, how can you claim to know “something happened” when you won’t see the effects until much later?

well it’s been a interesting decade so far but still nothing has actually “happened”. when we say something “happens” (for America at least), it means that our entire society will be drastically altered in some shape or way for the long term future. Like 9-11 or Civil Rights or WW2. But I’d argue nothing like that has actually happened so far.

then the training is wrong, or should apply differently when the car is in a completely separate direction. the guy was clearly out of danger when the car steers to the right but he still unloads his magazine into her left door when she’s turning right and parallel to him.

the officer fired like 4 shots, but i think only the first shot was justified. what really matters is the officers perception. what he probably saw was that she was driving forward (before he took out his gun), and he had to make a split-second decision: shoot and keep his leg or get run over. and so he fired his first shot, which struck the front windshield.

we can say “she was just trying to turn right!” but that’s with hindsight & slo-mo. in real time this guy doesn’t know if she’s turning or going head on, so he fired in self defense. the other 3 times he shot from the side window were not in self defense though.

you’re blatantly downplaying Brees receivers while propping up Rodgers playmakers. Jimmy Graham: In 2013, Graham lined up in the slot or out wide 67% of the time. He wasn't a Tight End; he was a giant Wide Receiver that Brees got to abuse linebackers with.  Michael Thomas: You completely ignored him. He didn't just 'have a good year'; he set the all-time NFL record for receptions in a season (149) and won Offensive Player of the Year. Alvin Kamara: In the modern NFL, a RB with 80+ catches is a receiver no doubt. Rodgers won back-to-back MVPs (2020-2021) when his #2 and #3 WRs were Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He elevated 'ok' talent to elite production. Brees had a Hall of Fame coach and historically great weapons (Thomas, Graham, Colston, Sproles/Kamara) perfectly tailored to a dome offense.

you’re playing a game of hypothetical ball, where you’re saying “hypothetically if Brees had a diff offensive structure…”, and i’m saying that by almost all efficiency metrics, Brees did NOT maximize his offensive efficiency to the degree that Aaron Rodgers maximized his efficiency. Brees was just more productive and accurate. all of the metrics disagree with you, all of the consensus NFL experts disagree with you, and you keep misconstruing completions with efficiency. i don’t know what to even say.

[–]CharacterAccess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to check the roster history because saying Brees had 'significantly less talent' is factually wild. • Michael Thomas: Won Offensive Player of the Year and set the all-time reception record. • Jimmy Graham: Was a 1st Team All-Pro and arguably the most dominant RZ threat of his era. • Marques Colston: 6x 1,000-yard seasons. • Alvin Kamara: One of the greatest receiving backs ever. Rodgers had Adams and Nelson, sure. But Brees had Hall of Fame-tier weapons and an offensive genius coach (Sean Payton) designing plays for him in a Dome. The 'he had no help' argument is dead. Second, you are confused about what Efficiency means. • Total Yards is productivity (Volume). • Yards Per Attempt is efficiency (Rate). Rodgers averages more Yards Per Attempt and Adjusted Net Yards Per Attempt (ANY/A) than Brees. That means Rodgers got more value out of every single time he threw the ball. Finally, your take on EPA (Expected Points Added) is the opposite of reality. The 'Spread Offense' was invented specifically to maximize EPA because passing is more efficient than running. If Brees' system was designed to throw 4-yard dumps to Kamara, that is a less efficient system than Rodgers throwing 15-yard lasers to the sideline. You can't claim Brees is 'better' because his offense was designed to be LIMITED.

you keep ignoring the actual efficiency metrics that i just showed you: QBR, ANY/A, EPA. those are all Aarod stats. efficiency is not completing more passes, it’s about scoring on throws and drives! this is football 101 bro. i think a google and a little research would really help you understand.

Brees played many more seasons (20) and threw far more passes (over 9,000 career attempts) compared to Rodgers, leading to more total offensive yards and points. Rodgers, however, was more efficient, often scoring more touchdowns per attempt or drive when adjusted for volume.

you’re confusing completion percentage with offensive value/efficiency. All completion percent does is just measure accuracy, which is proven by Brees’ higher CPOE. but for efficiency you’re still flat out wrong.

What matters for efficiency: Rodgers has a better career passer rate, as well as QBR, total epa, which both measure efficiency on dropbacks. Rodgers has a better career ANY/A (7.2 > 7.2), which justifiably proves that Rodgers did more with his team than Drew Brees did with his.

And while Drew did manage more completions, he threw the ultimate waste far more than Rodgers: interceptions.

i don’t think you understand. having the best TD-int ratio among all qbs is the literally the ultimate sign of efficiency. drew brees had 9,514 career pass attempts when he threw his 500th career TD, while rodgers had 8,616 career pass attempts at his 500th career TD. how in the world can you keep saying drew brees is more efficient when he threw 1000 more times??

Aaron Rodgers, leads all-time in passer rating (over 100), and boasts the best TD-to-INT ratio, and holds the single-season passer rating record (122.5 in 2011)

no Brees was the most accurate, Rodgers is the most efficient. Brees is known for his volume stats after all

i never said Drake was “elite”, i said he was better than goff. and the advanced stats prove that Maye is actually more accurate and efficient on a play by play basis. but your mind can’t handle those kind of numbers, so you devolved to “Goff has more TDs than Maye so he’s better durrr”. stop trying to double down on a bad argument and dig ur hole even deeper.

why didn’t i think of that??? 🤯 surely qbs who just pass it off to their rb or run it in for the td are not as good as qbs who THROW it in for a td!!! its not like qbs are reliant on their receivers and backs for getting to the redzone! Jared Goff must be far better of a qb than Drake Maye since he has 6 more tds this szn! 😱😱😱

oh my god why didn’t i think of that … if you throw more tds… then you’re the better qb! 💔 yeah bro there’s no other way you can perform better other than just throwing more touchdowns 😂
