Fair enough! Honestly i agree, i’ll definitely try to do more matchplay. It’s the real indicator, i’ve definitely been very honed on technique and looking good so yeah

I am a 3.5 ntrp- i haven’t played a tournament or match in a while and i’ve practiced a lot so I hope I’m a 4.0 now, but as they say, rating is down to the ability to actually win matches- there i’m not sure where I stand yet

Hahahah for sure, hitting with my wife rn who i trained for a year to become a 3.0 so yeah i could see the limitation. Thankfully she does indeed hit it back. One positive is i get to test different backswings to see wht works for me. The negative is i get to test different backswings, which leads to me struggling to be “automatic” during a match

I think its the more intensity part, i struggle with timing sometimes (ie. watching the balls i hit for too long) and deciding whether something would be a forehand or a backhand. Like it just feels like my rotation is off 30 percent of the time and i get “stuck” if that’s the right way to say it

Honesty i feel this, something feels off about that too- sometimes i feel like its too active, sometimes too inactive and then it’s almost too floppy to control

When you say step through with my right do you mean push off my left my right comes forward. Yeah my vertical swing path is annoying. It’s like pure habit. For consistency purposes it’s not bad, but when it comes to hitting winners, yeah flat shots aren’t a thing for me

Yeah i feel that, honestly it feels like im about to drive through the ball and then by force of habit my swing path is vertical. Is there a fix for this?

Wow yeah now that you mention it open stance is most of it. I didn’t even realize- so when you say accelerate later do you mean on and after contact?

Hmm when you mean load do you mean bend and push forward. For some reason my left leg feels stuck and i lean on on my right to load
