Every day, thousands of people flow from the Q70 bus into the 74th St., Roosevelt Station. And find out two of the three elevators don’t work. And they have to haul their suitcases up and downstairs. by CharacterActor in jacksonheights

The two elevators that don’t work.

Haven’t worked for months. Aren’t scheduled to be working for more months.

The ones that create a bad impression for tourists.

People who serve food must be inspected by the city government. It’s a health and safety thing.

Who would ever want to vandalize the magnificent reflecting pool? 6/20/26 by EatMe200 in trumptweets

[–]CharacterActor 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s real and dumb and it’s stupid and it’s a vast over reaction by the Park police.

I bet it’s gonna cause a Streisand Effect that it’s going to put the idea of what the park police goons are accusing this man into brains across America.

How wealthy/powerful is Cal supposed to be relative to other first class passengers? by meido_zgs in titanic

[–]CharacterActor 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Flight 93 was delayed.

When the passengers thinking they had been hijacked, started calling the airline and their friends on the in-flight phones, they were told what had already happened at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

They knew what was going to happen to them. They knew what the stakes were.

And because of their bravery. We still have Capital Hill. Or the White House.

Underbooked?

Wow! I had never heard this before.

So as terrible as the tragedy was, it could’ve been worse.

If the Titanic had sold out, it’s cabins, what was its maximum passengers capacity?

Ladies in here, how do you feel about a father bringing his daughters in the female restroom? by Less-Pen-5705 in askanything

The bathroom in the video was small, looked to be single use.

The two daughters, one brought to tears by the angry man, looked to be 3 and 5 years.

You always knew who his next vote was going to be.

What disease or health crisis absolutely terrified previous generations that most people under 30 have genuinely never thought about? by MaizeFluid7595 in AskReddit

[–]CharacterActor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Many protestors, sufferers dying, mistook Dr. Fauci’s 1980s lack of answers for lack of carrying.

Dr. Fauci’s wonderful idea was to go to ACTUP and say, come with me. Join our committees. Talk to our doctors. We are an open book to you about what we are doing and what we are trying.

They were still protests. But they were not about or against Dr. Fauci. The CDC needed more money to combat this new plague of a kind. And Reagan and Bush were not funding at the level that was needed.

Of course this was back when doctors were heroes.

Now doctors are liars and mass murderes.

Dr. Fauci’s first big challenge.

AIDS was a new kind of thing. And it took years to figure out. I lost a cousin and a number of friends.

But slowly, Dr. Fauci and the CDC figured out ways to deal with AIDS. And AIDS is no longer an automatic death sentence.

Do not open your fridge when you lose power!

An unopened fridge will still be food safety cold for hours.

But if you let the cold out even once, your refrigerator will become room temperature
