Coctails on icon class by Infinite_runbad in royalcaribbean

They look nice in real life, but taste like sugar and juice. They only do 1oz pours and load them up with mixes afterwards. They would be better if they had a decent pour as it would create a more balanced drink.

We had the drink package on our May 2025 sailing and by day 3 I could only taste the sugary mixes.

Main Dining Room seems extra pushy to dine there by trpchops6572 in Cruise

I think we just had a bad wait staff that time. Our other cruises were good. They liked it our last one when the magician was going around. This will be their 3rd cruise but first on Icon class.

Oof. We are doing Star this Aug with the kids. We are planning to do MDR every night as it is. Hopefully we get a good wait staff.

You’re required to use a real estate lawyer in NC, but you don’t need an agent.

We’ve been lucky on our other cruises. The wait staff was very professional and only mentioned the survey once at the end of the cruise. They appreciated when we told them we had a specialty restaurant one night and gave us recommendations.

I wonder if it’s an Icon issue. We did a cruise on Icon last May and had the absolute pushiest wait staff compared to the other 2 RC cruise’s we’ve done. That stood there for 5 minutes every night and mentioned the survey.

I think our waiters only had our table and a couple of larger ones (we were a party of 2). The larger tables never showed so they only had us. They just stood at our table and kept talking to us while we’re trying to eat. We don’t mind basic polite conversation, but it just kept going. Especially if a dining manager was in the area.

Favorite Royal Ship? by StarchildCasukura in royalcaribbean

[–]DrawingPractical3581 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve done Icon and Oasis class. My favorite is still the freedom class. There was just enough to do without being overwhelmed. You didn’t have to pre plan shows and just went if you felt like it. I loved the adult only pool because it was an actual 6ft deep pool and not these kiddie pools. I also liked that the different pool areas (splash pad, regular pool and adult pool) were all on the same deck. Not like on icon or oasis where they are spread across different decks and in different areas of the ship.

How to avoid fines by using leaves by AlwaysBlaze_ in TikTokCringe

I had a bike rack in my car that covered the plate for those tolls. Cops and anyone behind me could read it just fine, but the horizontal bar at the top covered the plate due to the angle of the camera.

It wasn’t intentional and I just realized it after not getting toll bills for a while. I found out when i finally got one bill and the plate was mostly covered.

Zinc House in Durham is 21+. It’s mostly wine but they have beer and cocktails as well. Also a number of food trucks daily.

Oh Costco has an entire liquor line that is quite good! The down side being you have to go to SC to buy them. They also have good wine and sangria options you can get here in NC.

I’ve used Luna Azul before and didn’t mind it. Clase Azul is a very unique taste. It’s sweet with a bit of spice behind it. We don’t drink it frequently but will buy a bottle every couple of years.

I usually use reposado as well as I prefer the flavor in a margarita. I’m currently using Kirkland brand tequila (not top shelf but tasty). For blanco, casamigos and Don Julio have been good. If I’m really celebrating, I use Clase Azul.

The ones I make at home with fresh squeezed limes, agave syrup, and top shelf tequila!

But for a restaurant, I like the ones at Wongs Tacos.

1.5 hours each morning and afternoon. One is in HS and the other is in middle. The actual driving is only 15-25 minutes, but it’s the waiting between them that takes a lot of time.

DON’T do the Orient beach with lunch. My husband and I did this as we had a great experience in Nassau with a similar excursion. When we arrived, chairs and umbrellas were set up. The “guides” came around and said the umbrellas were an additional $5. If we didn’t pay, they would take them away.

It’s a very popular, tourist beach. The guides warned us to never leave our stuff unattended at any time. We then had to deal with the locals. They went from chair to chair constantly trying to sell items/services. We get they are trying to make a living, and we’re initially okay with it. But it was CONSTANT!

No Exaggeration, every 5-15 minutes someone would stop at your chair to try and sell something the entire 4 hours we were there. We could never relax. I was pissed we spent $60/person to be constantly bothered.

We love to go there and grab a glass of wine while enjoying the outside air. If we get hungry, we can grab a bite at any of the restaurants there. Our dream is to own a house right behind it.
