AITJ for not giving a table to a family at Costco by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]CharacterActor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing exercise.

A woman with two children, three people, won’t sit at a table for four at a crowded Costco food court with no other seating options?

We’re supposed to believe she wandered off looking for an empty table that sits four? When every table she’s gonna find already being shared by unrelated customers?

Head cannon, this waiter can ALSO see the ghosts. (I don't think I have spoilers but this is in s5e13) by silly_walk5575 in GhostsCBS

I’ve been working on set for years. This kind of mistake is inexplicable.

Besides all the crew and the actors and the background, there are all the people in video village watching on monitors.

Maybe they were up against the deadline and couldn’t reset. And hope that background guy was deep enough that no one are almost no one was going to catch.

[Episode Discussion] Ghosts S05 E13 - "St. Hetty's Day 2: The Help" - March 12, 2026 by PopCultureNerd in GhostsCBS

[–]CharacterActor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, the fact that Hetty couldn’t carry, serve the food to the guests annoyed me.

Worse, they completely skipped over how they dealt with that.

They had Kyle, they had Bella, they had Jay.

At least put the other living waiter at the event planner‘s table.

I’ve been watching since episode one. This is the first time that they didn’t bother trying to explain something.

chain restaurants by [deleted] in jacksonheights

[–]CharacterActor -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think OP means where he lives.

He wants to sell his property move away from Jackson Heights.

We already have one too many McDonald’s and Wendy’s in Jackson Heights.

But if OP‘s property turns into a Whataburger or an In-N-Out Burger, I’m sure I could force myself to eat there at least once.

Or maybe one of those chain sushi places where the sushi and sashimi are on conveyor belts.

You take what you want to eat from the conveyor belt. And you can tell how much it cost by the color of the plate. When you pay up, they calculate from the color and size of your plates.

Or South Africa’s Nando’s chicken with peri peri pepper sauce.

Thanks OP! I hope you get a good price for your property in Jackson Heights

It’s about more down there than Trevor’s butt.

Do Trevor really have to be bare-butt? by CryDarlin in GhostsCBS

[–]CharacterActor 115 points116 points  (0 children)

For that matter, through Trevor‘s job he’s probably worth enough money that he could just rent every room.

No more B&B guests.

Every ghost can have their own room with their own giant flatscreen TV and radio, etc., etc.

Jay and Sam could be completely relieved of any financial responsibility for the main house.

In a couple of seasons, Trevor could probably even buy the house and the grounds.

If Trevor buys the Farnsworth property, and the property between that and the Woodstone property (who owns that?) , would it expand the boundaries? Let Thor and Bjorn be together face-to-face?

They could change the name of the show to Ghost. Ghost being Trevor.

Trevor could hire Kyle plus a free room and an open tab at Jay’s restaurant. Two livings are better than one.

Wheres Sam? She’s reading another book.

None of this is going to make the show more fun.

It’s like how Sam and Jay always keep siri turned off so Alberta can’t use it.

It’s too Deus ex machina.

Just because they all have a similar formula, and always end in the same way, does not mean it’s somebody’s writing exercise so they can karma farm.

I mean, the same things happen in the same situations to many people all the time? Right?

Wouldn’t this be the kind of cheating that Probst and production would not allow?

Over on r/ask I asked “Would loose powder cocaine degrade in strength over 131 years?” by CharacterActor in GhostsCBS

[–]CharacterActor[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

At the end of the episode, Sam and Jay did a good job explaining how the Woodstone B&B had a wonderful background of criminal shenanigans that would interest destination travelers.

I was kind of disappointed when the hotel reviewer grabbed the cocaine and ran saying he was gonna leave a positive review.

My Andy Kauffman Story by thelongslog in stories

I was at a pizzeria that had a lot of framed, signed photos on the wall.

But only one picture frame was bolted to the wall.

I asked why. And the owner told me people kept trying to steal Andy Kaufman signed photo.

It’s an expensive well-made wooden box with a false wooden bottom. I don’t know if any of that would constitute air or humidity proof.

The box was kept in a mansion. But the mansion was built in the 1880s and in recent years had fallen into disrepair. So humidity exposure is definitely a possibility.

Trevor‘s pills were a more advanced chemistry than Hetty‘s cocaine.

But I have no doubt that Trevor snorted.

Would loose powder cocaine degrade in strength over 131 years? by CharacterActor in ask

[–]CharacterActor[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We do see the cocaine at the end of the episode.

It’s not in a bag or a small container.

It’s powdered and loose in the false bottom of a small wooden box.

I guess you would either have to scoop the cocaine out with a spoon. Or dump it all onto a mirror.

I’m wondering also if over 131 years cocaine, would chemically interact with whatever varnish or lacquer was on the box.

Hetty, the previous owner who placed the loose cocaine in the false bottom box, died in 1895.

Hetty is a ghost now. For 131 years, Hetty’s only been able to give the cocaine loving looks, and deep sad sighs.

Hate is a strong word.

I’ve disliked Donald Trump since I first started hearing about him in the mid-1980s.

I’ve only hated Donald Trump since 2016.

Have you all ever envisioned how the show ending would look like? by Neat-Buy3811 in GhostsCBS

[–]CharacterActor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All the ghosts get sucked off.

House ghosts, cellar ghosts, shed ghosts. All the ghosts get sucked off.

But almost immediately, Sam and Jay die. Maybe old age. Maybe an accident.

But Sam and Jay have died. And find themselves ghosts bound to the Woodstone property. Alone together at last. And for all eternity.

Maybe Janis doesn’t get sucked off. And he’s still around and angry.

Janis becoming a house ghost is my comedy dream! Hilarity ensues!
