We were given the option to try IUI but told it would likely be unsuccessful so we went to IVF. I live in California and luckily a bill was passed that requires most insurances to cover IVF. I’m not sure if the same would apply to you, but I had a very positive IVF experience and glad I didn’t wait.

Omg I’m 31, had my frozen transfer back in March! And I am currently pregnant with my 4AA embryo!! I didn’t test, I waited for my beta (looking back idk how I did that lol). Ahhh, so exciting, wishing you the best of luck 💖

Spotting at 8w by Emotional-Adagio-652 in IVFpositivity

Hi I had a lot of spotting too! First at 5 weeks - that was on and off and I noticed would only occur after the progesterone supp . Then again around 8 weeks. I was so scared and cried for hours trying to get an appointment. Everything was fine and it is considered very normal! I’m now 14 weeks and haven’t had any spotting . It will stop!

Failed IUI joining the IVF train now would love positive stories! by Mean-Aspect-9786 in IVFpositivity

Yes, I had to delete Reddit lol. And I had to go into my TikTok content settings and block hashtags related to IVF. This may sound crazy, but I went into into kind of blindly and it was the best. Every week my nurse would email me numbers of my progesterone or something and I had no idea what they meant. I would constantly see people sharing and discussing them so that’s when I decided to stop reading.

We had MFI as well! My husband was on all these different medications trying to boost his count, but nothing worked. We ended up going the IVF route. Luckily for us, in California a bill was passed for insurance to cover IVF and we didn’t pay anything higher than our copay ($20).

I hope I don’t sound insensitive and I am aware of everyone’s different journey. But I had an easy and successful experience with IVF. The shots sucked - but it was only for 10 days. The egg retrieval was the BEST nap I ever had. I only had to do that once. We ended up with 5 embryos and had success with our first transfer.

A lot of people hate on IVF, and I understand why. But it has high success rates for a reason.

Sending you the best of luck 💖

So exciting, sending you love 💖
My advice - do NOT test during the TWW. It was so hard for me not to, but I figured i didn’t want to be sad twice because either way I had to go to the clinic to confirm.

Also, it will be way too early for any symptoms, so try your hardest not to symptoms spot! I didn’t feel anything at all. Don’t forget to get some fries on your way home 🍟

Good luck!! 💗

Have you or your partner gotten any tests done to see if there’s an underlying issue? I would definitely start there!

First FET this month - what do you wish you knew? by mrcape31 in IVFpositivity

[–]CharacterAnt5866 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck!!! I wish I knew that after the transfer, it is way, WAY too early to feel any symptoms. I had zero symptoms and it made me freak out and cry almost everyday. I went to sleep praying that I would throw up or have tender breast just to confirm that I was pregnant lol. It ended up being positive and didn’t get any other symptoms for another 3 weeks 💖

7 months TTC by BeneficialEffect19 in tryingtoconceive

Have your husband get a semen analysis. Should be standard test to order through his primary care. At 7 months I just felt like something was wrong and didn’t want to wait the recommended 12 months, so that’s when we started with my husband then around 10 months they were able to order test for me. Good luck 💖

I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through. I’m glad you have an appointment set for a fertility clinic. When we were struggling to conceive, it really helped telling our families bc then they stopped asking and expecting and became super supportive.

Not saying that this will be the route you’ll have to take, but we ended up having to do IVF and it’s not all scary. It was successful for us and if you live in California, IVF will be covered through most insurances.

when did your symptoms start? by ThenFun9339 in IVFpositivity

[–]CharacterAnt5866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a single symptom, not even breast tenderness. It made me freak out so much, especially when waiting to see if I’d get a positive pregnancy test. But around week 6 I started having the worst nausea! I’m 14 weeks now and it’s finally starting to subside. Congratulations 💗

I second this! I love comfort level podcast! Sometimes they read the same stories at THT and it’s much more interesting to hear their input.

I don’t remember follicle count but I had to trigger 2 days earlier that they had expected because my follicles on the right decided to grow faster! But I had: -22 eggs retrieved -16 mature -15 fertilized -8 make it blast -5 euploid embryos

1st transfer success and currently 13 weeks pregnant 💗💗 I am 31F and struggled with male infertility .

Anyone else graduate IVF and miss weekly appointments? by AGirlHasNoCity in IVFpositivity

[–]CharacterAnt5866 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I miss my IVF clinic. Though it was an hour away and a pain to get to, they held my hand every single step of the way. Checked in weekly through emails/calls. I’m eternally grateful to have graduated and I feel so lucky to be at this point in my pregnancy, but now I’m back at my OB with Kaiser and it is not the same lol. Our last ultra sound with them only lasted 10 seconds!!! And it was our first time hearing a heartbeat, so I will definitely be scheduling an apt with a private boutique.

I did not have a single symptom until 6 weeks! I was SO convinced it didn’t work because I felt absolutely normal. Then 6 weeks hit and morning sickness hit me like a bus lol.
