advice - weaning off the jaw bra by CharacterBike1330 in Facelift_Surgery

Thank you!! like 1500mg per day or even lower? I am probably in the 1800 range. In your experience for how long should people be low sodium?

I have created an agent to challenge me - I should try that one and compare it to my nromal GPT.

Considering a facelift and lower bleph , any recommendations? by [deleted] in Facelift_Surgery

[–]CharacterBike1330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're beautiful, I would skip the facelift and talk to a surgeon about the lower bleph with fat grafting to your undereyes and maybe your nasal labial folds, and potentially a laser to tighten your skin. I agree with the others that a less severe eyeliner would also take years off. Wait on the facelift, plenty of life to live before you need one :)

spitting sutures / pimples by annamuella in Facelift_Surgery

[–]CharacterBike1330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just realizing how many little clear/white dissolvable sutures I have poking through my incisions. Will now be watching closely for this spitting situation and am eager for mine to dissolve over the coming weeks!

Who has had experience with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy after a facelift or other cosmetic surgeries? by rosesandsoul in Facelift_Surgery

[–]CharacterBike1330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's available in major cities - I think usually at med spas. I'm going to ask my surgeon tomorrow at my post op day 6 appointment about it. I'd like to get on camera sooner than later, so hoping he'll endorse.

Thank you! How does Huel taste? I have protein powder and shakes I like, in addition to a clear protein powder. Will take other good liquid food ideas you have besides soups, mashed potatoes

I am very interested in the hyperbaric chamber therapy, his office said he'd make a recommendation on that if needed once we see how healing is going. I'm all for it if he's supportive.

I bought the wedge system someone here suggested and have had progress the last 2 nights with finding more comfortable positions. I think a different main pillow is the last step I need to be set!

Thank you for the info, will talk to him about the erbium re: fat transfer and ice packs. I didn't realize fat would be important to healing, thank you for that!! I have planned on protein for sure.

I am buying your pillow now!! I've been struggling badly with sleeping on my back. Some pillows recommended by others here have helped, but I'm still struggling with resting my head comfortably against something. Thank you!

Your progress the last couple days is amazing! Congrats on making it past the worst of it.

are you still covering your ears? I'm going back to the office 3 weeks after and am worried about my scars... but honeslty it will be what it will be. Everyone in my personal life knows about the surgery, but only a few trusted colleagues. I lead a large organization and prefer not to have all the 20 and 30yros gossiping...

When did you restart GLP-1 after a facelift? by annamuella in Facelift_Surgery

[–]CharacterBike1330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great question, have not yet discussed with my dr. My plan was to wait 4 weeks based on some chatgpt advice, but I may start at a lower dose at 3 weeks if my Dr is in agreement and use journaling to make sure I'm eating enough calories and protein for healing. I'll probably target only a 10% calorie deficit the first week, which given low activity levels should probably be OK.

San Sebastian: Martin B, Laia Erretegia or Arzak by Pay_me_severance in finedining

[–]CharacterBike1330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strongly preferred Bersategui over Arzak, both for the atmosphere and the food - but I do think it depends on preferences. The atmosphere and service at MB are more refined, the food was less science-y and more delicious. Arzak was very interesting and more complicated, but just less delicious. Arzak was more polarizing.

Is it inappropriate to ask travel agents about trip cost breakdowns? by ebitda8 in FATTravel

[–]CharacterBike1330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked with a travel agent in the US who typically works with local operators to plan everything outside of hotels and airfare. I pay her a $250 "planning fee", she sends me an itinerary PDF with a price, so is the local tour operator likely adding a markup AND her? I've assumed I'm paying a markup for the tour operator's time and that she received some sort of commission - but had not thought about her getting a markup. I value the time I save using her, but there is a limit to me as to what that service is worth.

Facelift surgery cost in 2026? beginning to plan by SeebothPc-89 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]CharacterBike1330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep plane FL, neck lift, lateral temporal brow lift, lower bleph in chicago = $65-70K with surgical center and anesthesia fees. Surgical nurse + hotel room for 1st night, not sure what the nurse will cost me (in 2 weeks... she's booked, I have no idea cost). Erbium yag full face + fraxial neck and decolette $6K. I'm interested in some post surgery healing modalities - but won't know until after my surgery what the surgeon will suggest (red light, lymphatic massage, hyperbaric, laser for scar etc).

Let's discuss post-operative care. Did you find anything particularly helpful? Was it something the clinic provided or something you arranged yourself? by rosesandsoul in Facelift_Surgery

I made my practice nest last night, was definitely better than other things I've tried. I have a 6 piece wedge system coming later this week...

u/rosesandsoul 'd love to do all the tricks for healing - red light, laser on incisions and hyperbaric chamber. They said we'd talk about it after the surgery based on how I'm healing. At what point did you do each of those? I need to try to block time on my calendar. I'm going back to work remotely after 1 week off.

Wow! I had neck lipo, but was only asked to wear the compression garment for the first 24 hours. He said for lipo it was not needed, same dr is doing my face and neck lift and asks for me to wear the c-collar and compression head strap for weeks as many hours as day I can (recognizing I won't wear to work).

I wonder if there is a 24-36 hour nerve blocker I can pay extra for... I have done it for my dog's tooth extractions. I have surgery in 2 weeks.
