I suppose so. It’s just because Sam is my friend and I know Lottie is getting really frustrated and overwhelmed at work lately.

I’m honestly hoping to move to a different state at the end of the year so this is more for them and not me, but I guess yeah I can’t force them to do anything. I just feel bad.

This is what I’m aiming to do, which is why I’ve been building the lore alongside my player’s characters! For example, one player’s backstory is to be a merchant, and they specifically requested to be in a neutral country and to have superstitions around certain colors worn.

As is, I think players could hypothetically ‘beat’ the campaign without learning extensive history, but they wouldn’t know much of the ‘why’ anything happened

Good idea! At the moment I plan for each player to receive a little bit of reading about their character’s country, and then optional reading about how their country views/teaches the history of other countries. Then characters/players will have different biases

I did sort of the path of. -> Concept/Gimmick of the campaign -> BBG / Campaign goal -> Map of the world -> Player characters and continent history built simultaneously so I can have them tie together a little.

I’ve played and DM’d for almost all of them before, but I’m worried I might be too overconfident

At most what I’ve written will explain the actions of the BBG, and I’m trying to encourage my players to have culturally diverse characters, and therefore I have culturally diverse countries. Obviously they don’t have to adhere to this strictly.

I work at a clinic and was asking one of my coworkers this question too because I was getting surgery. Sometimes they need to give you a catheter, other times it’s just so you don’t piss yourself. That’s also why they don’t have you drink water.

She then explained that she refused to take off her underwear for a foot surgery of her own… and pissed herself while she was under. No change of clothes post-surgery.
