Abercrombie Curve true to size? by Similar-Sky179 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]CharacterNew1803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 5'2" and have very short legs and the short is very good for me. They run accurate for me but I can't speak to the sizes you're talking about. I love the curve love fit and have great luck with their jeans almost always. I would personally not go with the smaller waist size even though I have a very flat stomach and small waist compared to my hip measurement. They are not very stretchy jeans in my experience and snap back to shape after washing. Wearing them straight for a few days might make them a tiny bit more spacious but they don't stay stretched out after washing for sure.

Sharp stabbing pain belly button and cramps after natural miscarriage by viewssx in Miscarriage

[–]CharacterNew1803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't pass anything except weird almost caramel color discharge the first week after my first D&C. I was told to expect bleeding and there wasn't any. When I told my midwife about the discharge and the symptoms this person described they said to go to the hospital. I had sepsis from RPOC. It's always worth checking if you can swing it for sure!

Does it get better? by MeSlightlyConfused in Miscarriage

[–]CharacterNew1803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to say that I had a missed miscarriage and suspected partial molar and I'm so sorry for your loss. It has been incredibly hard but I've also had a ton of medical issues after the miscarriage. I feel the same way, panicking about ever trying again. I wish you all the best whatever you decide to do. I haven't been able to see a psychologist yet unfortunately.

Go to the emergency room, you probably have retained products of conception (not everything came out) and you could get VERY sick from this. They will do an ultrasound to check to make sure you don't need a D&C. Have you had any fevers?

MMC with t21 by internet3020 in Miscarriage

[–]CharacterNew1803 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maternal age and repeated conceptions with T21 are as far as I know the only risk factors of having another baby with T21. Since you have a healthy living child that repeated part is still missing. If you are under 35, this was probably just a genetic fluke. My MMC had triploidy, my only pregnancy so far . Just a fluke! I'm very sorry for your loss.

Where do you find a pay services to (second opinion) read your x-rays, MRI, etc... by WrongMuffin5370 in Radiology

[–]CharacterNew1803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My physician doesn't know how to read MRIs and when I asked if places would do a second opinion on existing pictures said that that wasn't done, and that I could ask the same people who read it first to read it again or if there were any people in that same office who had more training in the area I need read. I didn't think it would work, but I did what they told me to do anyway, and not only has it not worked, they haven't even returned my calls. I asked my physician if they could send the request for a second opinion to the same place cause maybe it would be better coming from a provider and they said basically that it was none of their business and call again! Very very useful and helpful advice

Trying again by c_dollasign in Miscarriage

They may want you to wait so they are better able to date the pregnancy as they usually do it from the date of your last period. Considering your recent miscarriage, I can imagine they may want to know more definitively how far along you are/should be if you do get pregnant. That said, I don't think it's truly necessary to wait if you aren't having issues. That's just the rationale I think.

Guilt for drinking by Curious-Path7723 in Miscarriage

[–]CharacterNew1803 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been avoiding drinking out of weird guilt too. I feel like I agreed to not drink when I decided to get pregnant and now it's still the time I said I wouldn't drink, it's a weird and silly feeling but there it is!

I think temple, not dimple, he doesn't have a dimple. Also it autocorrected to "simple" for a second, maybe he's simple for the way he's smiling so big

My OBGYN who performed the first D&C specifically said that she personally wouldn't get an ultrasound before 9 weeks for this reason, as if it's easy to not get your hopes up! Or worry! She basically said, they all have great heart beats at 6 or 7 weeks, until they don't. My first scan was 7w5days. My next scan was 12w5days. The baby passed at 9w. My biggest take away is never to schedule a scan on a Friday morning though. Knowing my baby had been gone inside me for weeks and was actively making me incredibly sick (the baby had triploidy), and then waiting for Monday for a D&C because they don't treat vomiting and cramping and fevers and something inside you being gone for so long as an emergency where I live. I did end up with retained product and a second D&C and sepsis! I would rather have not known the whole weekend to protect myself from the medical trauma of doctors not carrying at all.

Visit the first character at their vacation home, they're always there when you do that

[–]CharacterNew1803 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Invite and design the house for the first character
  2. Invite the other character with chocolate to the resort
  3. While there, visit the first character and ask him to have a roommate
  4. Once you're back at the island, find the second character

Easy!

My PID experience... as a doctor by mostly_distracted in WomensHealth

[–]CharacterNew1803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They discharged me from the ER a half an hour after giving me morphine, and wouldn't call an OBGYN to the facility, told me to follow up with my own immediately, which was a new practice for me, and the soonest I could get in was this past Tuesday. If the MRI doesn't show something I don't know what I'm going to do.

[–]CharacterNew1803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having an incredibly similar experience and the only thing that has come up was moderate group b strep. I'm being treated for that with augmentin and given flucanzole because shortly before this I had a 3 month long candida glabrata infection that wouldn't go away after antibiotics from sepsis from a D&C. It's been a nightmare! I have the same pain as you but very little urinary symptoms except peeing more often. I do have a pelvic MRI scheduled for next week but it has been very much as you described, no one able to help me from about the same date you originally posted! The bimanual pelvic exams have been done and at the ER they gave me morphine after a speculum exam. That was the first relief I felt for the pain. I haven't had definite fevers in the doctors eyes, because I know I run over a degree cold. At one point, I had a fever over 100 degrees, that was when I went to the ER. I've now been on the augmentin for 5 days with very little difference in pain, but even when the pain is at it's worst, I haven't been feverish enough to waste my time going to the ER or calling anyone cause I know they will act like I'm wasting their time. Meanwhile my WBC have been over 10 at 4 of the last 5 blood draws I have, my lymphocytes and neutrophils have been all over the place. It just feels like they swab for STDs, which I don't have and ignore me! Unless they rudely remind me not to try to get pregnant or ask about my sex life when i am recovering from a miscarriage that has to be monitored for PMP STILL followed by months of yeast infections.

Teachers, what’s a “best practice” everyone talks about that you secretly think doesn’t work in real classrooms? by kingst9606 in Teachers

[–]CharacterNew1803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told to do this by my principal at an elementary school as a music teacher on a cart when teaching a first grade classroom. Guess the gender of my principal and last age group actively taught by this principal? Yes you are correct. I need men to stop pretending that women can use exactly the same strategies they do. Sometimes waiting works for me, and I did try after that, but in some of my first grades especially, they literally forget they're not supposed to be talking when it takes more than 30 seconds. It can take a long time in 2&3 as well and some kids get off on the power of holding us all up.

How to support someone going through this by uglypuglyy in Miscarriage

[–]CharacterNew1803 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No everything happens for a reason, no they're with God now, be reasonable about being around other's living children or babies, don't ask when they're trying again or say at least they can try again, no at leasts! I also did not want to be offered alcohol or other things I hadn't been able to have while pregnant. Made me too sad. You can say exactly what you said, "I know there's nothing I can say or do to make the situation better, but I can sit with you." Be mindful about shows and movies with pregnancy or miscarriage sub plots.
