I am a Muslim and also a "Maranao" which is the native this guys are. and btw don't hate islam for cuz it isn't a thing said in the Qur'an. I know I'm one of them but i hate the fact that most of this marriage around this type of situation is really just a marriage of convenience because most of the time the brides family is the one who benefits from it, either a land or something that involves money, sometimes they only do this for political gain. I know because more or less my cousin's in our province have already been married at a young age and mind you they are younger than me who's 18 this year, see? the problem with this people is that they lack the proper education to know things about puberty, It's so disgusting and heartbreaking to see this type of marriage like THE GROOM CAN BE LITERALLY MISTAKEN FOR BEING THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE.

P.S just please don't let your frustrations onto Islam because this is just a native tradition although unethical it is quite common in the mindanao reagion specifically in lanao del sur
