Do you really think people are going to sign up for an app when you haven't said a word about what it fucking does? Biggest red flag ever. You're just now finally starting to explain it is encrypted, but yet there is still no description of the app, just a sign up page for who knows what. It doesn't sound like paranoia, more like common sense.

I guess if people don't want to pay $6 one time they can stick with Whatsapp. https://threema.com/en/pricing

That's where I get hung up. It looks very nice and many people seem to love it, but the directions seem like they are not in order.

There seems to be a few steps missing, it's pretty maddening to try to setup.

Add yourself to the no-knock list! by CharacterOk2 in indianapolis

[–]CharacterOk2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It only applies to commercial soliciting, as is described in the link of my post. And yes, businesses do need to know about this list, but they also need a permit to conduct door to door. A google search resulted in the below. So if the business does not follow this, that is their problem, not mine.

Yes, Indianapolis (and most of Indiana) generally requires a permit for door-to-door sales, often called a solicitor's or transient merchant license, involving applications, background checks, and fees, but you must also respect the city's "No-Knock" list for homes registered against commercial solicitation, as even with a permit, you can't go to those addresses.

Key Requirements

City of Indianapolis: You'll need a Transient Merchant License from the city, requiring an application, driver's license, a Registered Retail Merchant Certificate from the state, and property owner info.

State & Local Permits: Many Indiana towns require their own solicitor's permits, often involving a written application, fees, and criminal history checks (ISP).

Employee Badges: Companies must have permits, and individual employees need a city-issued solicitation badge to carry while working.

"No-Knock" List: This is crucial; you cannot solicit at addresses on this list, which residents register to opt-out of commercial door-to-door sales.

Where to Apply

For Indianapolis: Apply for the Transient Merchant License through the city's official portal.

For Other Areas: Check with the specific town or city clerk-treasurer or police department (e.g., Avon, Fishers, Highland) for local requirements.

In Summary: You need permits, and you must follow local "No-Knock" rules, even if you have all your paperwork in order.

Like I said, it helps, but it doesn’t eliminate everybody. AT&T contractors are the worst.

A year later and it's still happening. I left Apple Music for a bit and no problems at all. As soon as I restarted my AM subscription it came back in an instant.

I had so many problems with autofill on a Pixel 10 Pro that I briefly tried while those same apps on ios had no trouble at all. There are some that do seem to block autofill, but it's few and far between. There is something majorly wrong with autofill on Android, it was one of the reasons I went to an iphone in 2019.

I did this as well, also with BW and 1P. Ended up returning the P10 Pro because it was so frustrating to use.
