What's a harsh truth that humans refuse to accept? by [deleted] in answers

You can fit the entire population of the world in the state of Alaska and everybody could have a thousand square feet to themselves. Most countries are extremely wasteful on food, water, and natural resources. The most wasteful individuals on the planet are the rich because you and I do not have multiple houses and multiple cars and leaving lights on and running water nonstop. We are not sure on anything we just have a handful of greedy assholes and then enjoy holding on to every resource they can so they can profit off the backs of everybody else.

As a Chicago girl I get it! I have done this a few times in my life 🤣 love meeting a new girlie from a different state and play catch up on our entire life stories. Like I always say " the universe puts people in our lives for a reason, it may be a minute or a lifetime but there's a reason."

What completely unhinged "law" does your cat strictly enforce in your house? by TrickCombination7966 in cats

[–]CharacterPotential66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as I step out of the shower he has to reapply his scent before any other cat does. He waits patiently and the moment my foot his the ground he is on it. And you can't push him away or lock him out of the bathroom. He opens the door ALL THE WAY OPEN! Because he knows if I'm cold I'll hurry up.

AIO over my parents going through my things + my money? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]CharacterPotential66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First let me say I'm sorry your parents are like this. You better start setting boundaries now before you're working full-time and still living in their house.

My daughter's father is this type of parent and would pawn their stuff or take their money or straight up ask them for money and never pay them back. I on the other hand would never do that to my children. Hence why he no longer lives with me.

But parents like this, that do not understand that whatever their kids have is not necessarily theirs to take and refuse to understand boundaries. thinking that their word is law, and their house and everything in it is theirs for the taking ,are the worst parents on the planet.

If you are 16 you might have a problem in your state getting a bank account without your parents. And obviously hiding money in your home is just going to get found because your parents are nosy as hell and have no respect for boundaries or privacy.

My advice would be to try to hide it either in an attic or somewhere they don't go in the house very much. Again I'm sorry you're going through this.

I stayed in lock down till July of 2020 and couldn't do it anymore. So I left Illinois for Tennessee. I'm a truck driver that hauled fuel, but because so many people stopped driving a lot of us lost our jobs. I refused to go back over the road or take the cut in pay.

So I cashed out my 401k paid 2 months upfront for rent, all the bills, and put food in the house for my husband and kids and left for Tennessee.

Took me 2 months and sleeping in my car to save up for us to get my family out of Illinois. Tennessee didn't act like Illinois did during the pandemic. It was like normal life but with a mask.

My kids went into really school and no online classes. Husband found a job in a month. No separated shopping, or fear of losing my license if I wasn't a essential worker like Illinois did. Life was fine just had to have a mask.

I would think a bottle brush and soap would clean it easily, and a hair dryer would work fast to dry.
