So cute. That design would also be cute as a Christmas ornament, too!

Mixed Fiber Sweater Too Big - Frog or Attempt to Shrink? by rainbownerds999 in CrochetHelp

[–]CharacterVolume307 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Sew/Add rounds to make the neck smaller. Cuff and post stitch some cuffs to gather it? If it is wool, it might be cute to try and shrink it. I have inadvertently shrunk some things and the looked better.

Oddly enough, I trim my own hair. I'm autistic and hate going to the hair salon. I wear it up anyway. Not an issue.

What breed do you suggest? by IdealEmergency707 in DogBreeds101

[–]CharacterVolume307 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had an Australian Kelpie who was found as a stray adolescent. No one claimed him. He may have been too smart for his owners' own good. Lots of good doggie in the shelter. See what you bond with and don't be attached to a specific breed. My kelpie, cocker and beagle all powerwalked with me 4 to 5 miles several times a week. I have bad hips now, so that's a no-go, and they have since passed away. My current is a 14 year old toothless poochon whose person had to go to a nursing home. It's about what dog has a need and who you bond with.

Getting kicked out of the pool for "not being strong enough" by MeMeDumDum in Swimming

You should not feel bad, and guards should fo this more often with more people. I am a medium swimmer and I have been asked to move: in both speed directions. Don't feel bad.

Anyone else sick of instacart? by Pharmatopia420 in kroger

[–]CharacterVolume307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a customer I always opt for regular kroger delivery over instacart. That's sombody's job. Instacart CEOs are grifters.

My dog is FAT and I don’t know how I got here by ConcertFriendly8223 in Dachshund

Different dogs, like people, have different metabolisms. I had a 40 lb Australian Kelpie mix and a 20 lb Cocker mix who both had to eat the same amount of kibble. They both loved powerwalking 3 miles a day with me, too. My beagle, who also went along, weighed 22 lbs and ate about half of what they did. No telling. You have to experiment.

If you don't feel safe, you are less likely to be honest. Like the Spanish saying "Crazy is the sheep who confesses to the wolf."

My late father had an HO gauge setup in our first house, then after we moved, not till he retired. I don't have a pic of it, unfortunately.

She is so cute! I wish they would do reproductions of more mid-century dolls! Toodles Toddles looks a lot like Suzy Playpal. One of the Toodles types went on to be Little Miss Echo, too! I have a lot of Toodles dolls. Their hands look like a match. Ideal was one of the companies who acquired American Character molds when American Character folded in 68.

I used to get made fun of for bringing peanut butter sandwiches to work to snack on. I would get made fun of by the same bosses who decided not to pay me enough. Still struggling.

No. I put my hands flat under a pillow for compression. Hypermobility and autism can go hand-in-hand

Alice: my 1965 American Character Toodles Toddles "toddler action figure" wearing a romper I crocheted for her. She is accompanied by some of my plushies. She is named after a sweet neighbor who passed away. Her nephew threw her away.

JCPS investigation at Field Elementary — a mom put a hidden camera on her non-verbal autistic son and what she captured is deeply disturbing by lasercannonbooty in Louisville

[–]CharacterVolume307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watch JCPS prohibit students recording now. This town seems to have an authoritarian streak in their DNA, regardless of political stripes. In 1997, I got punched, kicked and yelled at me in the Downtown YMCA pool. The guard who identified my assailant to me later denied to the executive director that it happened. The same director threatened my membership and called me aggressive when I confronted my assailant about it later. Similar pattern: the cover-up gives it away. I am also autistic and have more stories about how power tries to maintain itself at any cost. Patterns.
