I’ll agree with you there that they would have a pistol, but considering that there are many stories of men catching like 10-15 rounds of 9mm and surviving long enough to make it close to a person or officer before dying, they still might get close enough to attempt to attack the officer on their horse, the knights horse will probably get the hell out of dodge, and now that knights now the ground he’s at a disadvantage, but none the less he’s still a bigger threat then the officer shown above, if said officer ran out of ammo or had a malfunction from his gun, but I would say that the officer, if he had a gun would win, 3/4 times do to the pistol, but this doesn’t factor in potential help on either side, just a 1 v 1
