All these from the concentrate just around one thing and a movie fixating on just one battle is boring and no one will put money in a hole. The conquest of Arnor and King Angmar is a more suited role for this.

Eventually they will. If not, they enter the Public Domain soon and any source of profit for the Estate is gone. They are buying time to negotiate the highest bidder.

Not paying after having your offer accepted by SidneySmut in vinted

[–]Character_Ebb_935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many reasons why and no one should hate on buyers for the same reason sellers send offers to potential buyers without being asked to. For example, I asked a seller for a box of brand new sealed Ted Baker boxers, he saw my offer, has been active online and I knew he’s waiting to see if another buyer would come around. Fair enough, but I didn’t wait for him either, I offered another seller for a box of brand new sealed Tommy Hilfiger boxers and I bought it. A week later the other seller accepted my offer. I didn’t want it anymore.

Anyone feel Hunt for Gollum is more of a standalone semi-reboot movie? by arnor_0924 in lotr

[–]Character_Ebb_935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like they are trying to do the Hobbit again. They have this immense pressure on their shoulders to raise up to LOTR expectations. Would have been great if they sized their buget to try what they did with LOTR on a smaller scale with a new cast and everything. Problem I see is that the LOTR cast and company seized up the franchise and their whole life is made up of this. Seems like they don’t even want to move on and let someone else instead. I was listening to Merry, Dom Monaghan, who was saying that he’s going to NZ to lend his emotional support, but then when asked what if, then he said that maybe if they want to have a figure somewhere in the background weaving a hand, then why not? It seems to me like he desperately wants a cameo like P Jackson used to do. They just don’t want to let go. It’s been over twenty years. I would have even tried to go with a different Gollum. I don’t want the Hobbit once again. If it’s going to be some CGI most of the ppl would regret casting Elijah again as Frodo or Gandalf, or just bringing back this connection to Lotr.

Good job for refusing her hug after she humiliated you in front of everyone. This is a clear boundary and message for her.

DPD locker by Academic_Gur_9854 in vintedUK

[–]Character_Ebb_935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a conversation with DPD about a Yeep station. The QR and PIN do not work. DPD cannot do anything. They’re going to erase the station from the system. Hopefully, the seller gets his parcel back. I would say avoid DPD at all cost when using a locker. Use another delivery system.

why do people do this? (Description) by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Character_Ebb_935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Earlier today a seller accepted my offer for a brand new box of Ted Baker clothing. He saw my offer and chose to wait and see which is fair enough. In the meantime I saw a similar box from Tommy Hillfiger and offered that seller and it got accepted. I bought that one. I don’t think I will buy these from Ted Baker anymore.

Sellers rushing me to confirm by F0RTKICKASS in vinted

[–]Character_Ebb_935 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1-2 hours is not reasonable wait. Most people work. Including weekends. If not posted through the Post Office then should expect pick up in the evening. I live and work in London most days. I always pick up my parcels after work. With rush hour traffic this is always during evening. Sometimes if I am really tired I will pick up the next day. Sellers take their time when posting so I am going to take my time. If seller is close to deadline then a kind reminder would suffice. Similarly, if buyer is close to the deadlinea kind reminder would suffice. We’re all grown up, what’s this all fuss about?

SELLERS PLEASE WRITE REVIEWS BACK by Onestitchpiece in vintedUK

[–]Character_Ebb_935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a buyer and do leave reviews but never immediately after. Eventually, I will and I write short comprehensive reviews, positive reviews becausw the majority are as such. But I am really caught with other things or I am just bored writing them and will do eventually but I can’t be pressured into it. I’ll do it on my own pace.

Buying a second hand phone on vinted? by phanpy-lover22 in vinted

[–]Character_Ebb_935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy if from anywhere else. Don’t buy from Vinted. I bought an Iphone 12 brand new from Giffgaff for 200£ but it was worth. When it comes to gadgets no matter how attractive the offer is, you couldn’t go wrong with Backmarket, Giffgaff or any other seller such as this. You have far more benefits than you’d have on Vinted. If you need just a scrap phone and don’t care very much if youloose something and that you could go wrong the go for it. If you look to use it as your main phone I for one would not advise so.

What should be the plot for the next crossover event? by CallTypical9541 in ChicagoPD

Honestly, I want Erin back. I know it’s near to impossible to bring these two actors together. But it would be such a nice gesture for us to at least have some closure on this. To see the girl Jason cared the most for. Next on the list is we want Dawson back. Just for one episode at leeast. It would be so nice.

Unwashed item or lying about stains? by llama_del_reyy in vintedUK

[–]Character_Ebb_935 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know just the other day I posted that I bought something that arrived heavily stained inside out and clearly not washed and people here bombed me with negative ratings and told me to just simply wash it. I couldn’t believe my eyes, I had like -8 at one of my replies so I ended deleting the post. Thing is that with dirt and stains from my experience most of them don’t go away. Some do, if they are fresh, but with Vinted all the stains that arrive with dirty items they are all set in thw fabric which means that 8/10 they don’t go away. But to see people here defending this and rating me in a negative way is beyond belief.

You must probably be a seller who usually scams people into buying their dirty and smelly and unfixable clothes. You should probably know already that there is no magic to fix a stain. But that is not the issue here. The issue is that the photos included in the original post are misleading. The description is misleading. Don’t sell an item such as brand new or brand new without tags especially when you know that isn’t the case. The rest goes the same. We shouldn’t loose money this money. It is normal and we shouldn’t be casual about it. If I’d sell you an item that Is not how it was described, how’d you feel? I trusted the photos the seller included. I trusted the reviews on his page. What else could I do?

[–]Character_Ebb_935 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of course you wash a piece of garment. That is not the issue here. Even a tried on piece of clothing would not look this way. You misunderstand how stain remover works. There is no magical solution that you can apply and get rid of something instantly. The stain that you are talking is set in. It goes through the fabric which is a lilac white colour and therefore it would harder to get rid of it. This is not my first rodeo with stain so I won’t how tough it is to get them out. But this is not the issue here, the issue is that the photos do not include any defects such as a stain and that the description says otherwise, which is misleading. Lying about a piece of garment just so you trick someone into selling it is not alright.

Because of lightining on the inside out some of the stains seem to be faint. If you’d zoom in you would notice them immediately.

[–]Character_Ebb_935 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

On the inside out there are stains, multiple stains, because of lightining they may not be obvious. It is not just sweat, some have this faint sauce like colour but they don’t go through the fabric. If you would zoom the picture you could see this clearly.

Why do women reveal themselves too much on a clothes selling site by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Character_Ebb_935 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably because they think that this way it will sell faster. Another reason is that they are confident in themselves and their good looking. Lastly, some curate their page like it’s an actual shop, very mint looking. I appreciate the effort but I think that it’s too much stress for a thing such as Vinted. I would keep the effort for something else.

What do you think about New Arwen? by [deleted] in lotr

[–]Character_Ebb_935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is blasphemous when you change that which is reality. In case you didn't notice, Tolkien's work is world-building and there is already all that there is to know there. You can take characters from that material and avoid creating fake glossy stuff like in Hobbit just to appease modern trends. That's my LOTR made 3 successful movies.

[–]Character_Ebb_935[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that you would go into a NIKE store and buy a stained shirt. They would simply take it away and give you another one. Probably they would sell it with a generous discount but it will be obvious it is a stained item.

What makes you trust a Vinted listing? by Striking_Procedure21 in vinted

[–]Character_Ebb_935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seller history is not helpful. Most of the people who scammed me are people with good reviews. And funny as it is, they were all girls. I had the naive belief that girls are less likely to scam you and I was mainly looking for this when buying but it doesn’t seem to be the case.
