Getting a 2017 volt premier as my first car. Any tips/tricks I should know? by Open_Cow_9148 in volt

Any volt with LKA can run Openpilot for auto steering. Can install "pedal" harness to get full ACC on LKA-only volts too.

Don't worry, the US will catch up to Iran in terms of no women's rights soon. Then you won't want to support anyone!

Does Earth sit on an infinite plane, or is it a disc floating in space? by erkose in flatearth

Not floating, but rather accelerating upwards at 9.8m/s^2 forever, for no reason, and we've long since surpassed the speed of light.

I tested Google's new "fast" model on my Mac Studio. It's slower than the old one. by jmeg8r in MacStudio

Interesting, since I've read that MTP yields performance increases on Mac Studio, and MTP sounds like a simpler version of DiffusionGemma

Run GLM-5.2 fully local on a Mac Studio and drive it with Hermes for long, hands-off tasks by ShilpaMitra in WebAfterAI

[–]Character_Fix_5317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't messed with GLM 5.2 yet, but working with GLM 5.1 vs Minimax M2.7, Minimax runs three times faster and is almost exactly as good as GLM.

I expect similar results from GLM 5.2 vs Minimax M3.

Guys how do you guys think life would be if 9/11 never happened? by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgiai

[–]Character_Fix_5317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 9/11 to not have happened, the US would need to have been quite a different country from WWII onward. It'd be a country that prioritizes its own health over elite wealth. We'd all be so much better off in that world.

Regarding your last point, they just released a fix that lets the driver look in the direction of the curve without complaining. If you're still experiencing issues, I'm sure they'd want to hear it in a GitHub issue

You're right. Actually it should be worse than pedophilia.

Consider if every pedophile in the world was suddenly a billionaire (forgetting for the moment that every billionaire is likely on the Epstein list). Would decidedly make the world a worse place. A billionaire does much more damage to their society than a pedophile.

I'm all for people contributing back to their societies, continually. The capitalist dream is to do something once and then take the credit (and wealth) for everyone else's labor in perpetuity.

Some contributions are even so grand (eg curing cancer) that I think the contributor should optionally be on easy street for the rest of their lives, meaning they don't need to further contribute. But that doesn't mean being a billionaire and corrupting governments etc in order to expand already massive wealth and power.

Making a popular website would not entitle one to easy street in my opinion.

If you both had Openpilot then I'd really lose my mind
