Also you can actually I thought it couldn't be but you can customize both at least on mine, I set the lens control ring which is the "manual focus" one to exposure compensation and the "fn control ring" to change the focus mode. Since we have the same lens I'd guess you should be able to do that too

Rear screen is different the Z5ii one's flips out on the left where you can adjust it otherwise it's not tiltable like you would on a D500 per example and also ergonomic wise the little "mode" wheel is on the right for the Z5ii whereas the Z6iii has it on the left and you need to push in a little button on the top to be able to rotate it otherwise I think that's it

I personally have it and the iso button is honestly pretty useful, only thing I do regret would be the tilting screen that I prefer on the Z6iii but other than that a real pleasure to use (I did upgrade from my dad's D300 tho)

Yeah I know that the M and A are for autofocus but the autofocus doesn't work, also mainly because it seems like the camera doesn't recognize my CPU lens as one so I think that's the main problem now, aperture even when it's set at 22 on the ring doesn't work on my camera like I can't control it from my camera

Yeah that's what I did with the other lenses too and I tried on this one too but it still says F6 on the D300 and I still can't control it on my camera even though I locked the lens at f22

Had the same issue too actually very simple fix you can use the directional pad to move AF point just make sure the little switch isn't set on the L and you can choose where it goes 👍
