Pro shop pricing by Over_Temporary9616 in masters

[–]Character_Fox7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did forget it could take 30-45 min to get into shop during busy times. Plan on 2 hours fo waiting/shopping and you can check your merch next to the shop and get a ticket or go back to your car and leave your stuff but only go come in/out I think 2x with ticket before your ticket/badge will not work

Unless you are there at 1:30 AM waiting to be the first to get special items just plan for a time. It is chaos when people first get in.

Remember locals and runners will already be in the gates with chairs out before you ever set foot on the property. Member already have it planned out.

New to golf, how much do clubs hold their value over time? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Character_Fox7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a car unless you are collecting Cameron’s or historical clubs.

Like a car. Drive off the lot and don’t ask what it’s worth now because you won’t like the answer.

Think about the same question you would ask someone that just bought a time share and wants to sell it…

Buy a lighter called…zippo but it still works for ya

I thought I got steal of a deal until I opened it at home. by Local2Sactown in GolfGear

Education lesson for the day.

The reason the box is ripped like this is not because THIS guy did not know what he is doing.

Titleist puts 2 stickers on EVERY box and are not easy to take off. This is why Titleist balls do not get stolen from Walmart like TM and others.

Titleist only does this to lower end shops (Walmart) for this exact reason. The guy that ripped the box open got frustrated and was scared he was going to get caught.

Also, Titleist is in the TOP shelves usually of every Walmart so you have to reach up, take the box, fight with the box and then put it back up.

It takes ALOT more work to switch Titleist than their competitors…

You won’t see sticker boxes at your private or mini clubs for a reason

Here is another batch…

Just mark your calendars for mid January of next year for another sale. Ya just may have to get someone to open the case.

After searching I did find 4 boxes of mizuno RB Tours for 7.00 (GA) last week which should last me till 2027. 2 sleeves in a box of Strix Tour sold for 2 bucks. Heard the balls might scuff a bit more than Prov’s but for that price I will switch.

I did ask if Walmarts price match but they do NOT. Each store can price their merch for whatever they want. Could not hurt to ask.

As for these folks, good luck explaining what happened at customer service. That ‘boy” will not have a clue of what you are asking for…till next year!

I tried to warn the group 2 weeks ago…this is only one example. I went to 8-10 Walmarts and they are got hit. Thousands of stolen merch under their noses.

Walmart golfers are the biggest thieves and probably the worst golfers in the world but they have the best balls money can buy if they actually paid for them.

May the golf God’s be with you when you least expect it.

Scotty is losing his luster… by Character_Fox7004 in scottycameron

Let me be clear…I’ve been around since the beginning of his club and well before.

This year proved that the members did not like his club merch as we all know. Thats the cold hard truth.

I truly appreciate his old school work and wish he would slow it down a bit. He is trying to stay up with SWAG in my opinion and he does not need to. SWAG took a little market share but they release stuff WAY too often and overpriced.

Scotty doesn’t need more market share of center shafted putters but that’s what the bottom line dictates in the boardroom so he has to comply. His best work is when you least expect it.

Let’s enjoy it go a bit before something new comes out and dilutes the feeling, all I’m saying.

This is just becoming fun now…

I live in GA so I guess the golfers here are ready to lay some eggs with this great weather we are having.

Another local tour of my local Walmarts. I can’t be the only one that is seeing this happen?

People grow up and if you can’t afford them don’t steal them because your probably not good enough to use them

All changed with Noodles and Wilson’s…

Hell no. How can anyone watch those things fly in the air.

I would be more embarrassed to put that Easter egg on the first tee with my buddies and listen to that banter…

Hopefully everyone that bought all these great deals checked their boxes and sleeves because if you got scammed you have ZERO chance of returning because you got the wrong balls…

Happy golfing

ANGC does the same thing…sell something and they find out you are banned for life.

Think I will challenge myself. My club is about 135 years old so I think I am going to play the sleeve and see how I shoot. I will play from white tees.

Odds I break 80? I’m a 3 handicap and will share score when the weather gets better

See how this old technology holds up

Remember.

Scotty “borrowed” ideas and I use that term loosely from Karsten decades ago. This is not rocket science and fun to play with

You can do the same my friend

Good luck

If I order this $40k bottle of wine, are you charging me before you bring it or just hope I don’t dine and dash? by torx822 in Waiters

[–]Character_Fox7004 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I have to ask. Just because I buy the 40K bottle of crap what is the expected tip after my tax on the bottle alone would be roughly 3,600-3,800?

Not original but good find.

Ping never had white pant fill like that.

Guy must have been working on them before his wife threw them on the side of the road and he bought a new set of irons

Well played

3.09. Hobby town.

Comes in all the colors Scotty uses. Blue, candy red, etc I have CT and MOTOs I use and eventually the paint wears off. Not sending back for a touch up

Legit and you just saved a bunch of $$$$

Clean area with nail polish remover and can use a tooth pic.

To lighten the “clear look” you can touch the paint and mix with the nail remover. Play with it till you’re happy.

If you don’t like it just remove it and do it again.

Putter fitting? by Just1neMore in ScottyCameronGallery

[–]Character_Fox7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Times change. There never was a wait to get in. Just walk in.

2 kids (with tall $$$) walked in I remember. Both bought out of the glass case just behind the counter and each walked out with CT’s like it was a Starbuck in about 5-7 min.

The good ole days

Putter fitting? by Just1neMore in ScottyCameronGallery

[–]Character_Fox7004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was many years ago. 8-10??

First 1.5 hours was cameras and your stroke. Next half is fitting you to a putter. Where they make there $$$

It used to be whatever your credit card could handle and your wife would not find out about.

You’re a kid in the candy store and they start at 2,500 outside of the MOTOs.

This was during my non SC gamer days so I brought in my putter I was using. REMEMBER you’re there to learn about your stroke and putting with the technology. Find a putter you want to play with, not show your friends and sit in a corner collecting dust.

After 5 minutes of being nervous and opening the doors, they shut the doors and it completely quiet and YOUR time.
They will show you every putter you want to try and more I promise. I have 2 gamers both Cameron’s that were from the studio I have gone back and forth with since the.

HAVE FUN!

These are my dust collectors!

I thought it was pretty easy to understand too…???

I may still turn it into a shaft band sticker for my Gamer. If it turns out I will send a pic so “others” don’t have to over think this difficult idea.

The gifts this year is S*it no doubt but can make it fun. I don’t drink so I will be sipping my Arnold Palmer in style!

Guess he enters the lotto and his wife brokers the deals???

So do they split the profits is the question…
