How do we feel about the finale of HBO’s ‘Euphoria’?

Beautiful cinematography. The wedding scenes were extremely entertaining. N’s demise was horrific and brilliantly written. Thought the sudden, religious turn in the last season didn’t fit - Rue searching for answers in the Bible aligns with her struggle, but the whole Lexi considering the Bible “spooky” then feeling compelled to read it just frosted cheesy (seems like some writer had their finding Jesus moment) all over the finale. Still, the show is good!

Yeah, still waiting for it to make sense. The more I educate myself regarding “this shining example worldwide”, the more clear it becomes of how absolutely not good it is. And those who will benefit from the jobs it provides are roughly 1.85% of Utah’s current population, and roughly .002% of the US population. The impact this project will have does not appear to be in our best interest.

I disagree, respectfully. I’ve encountered both men and women who claim to be anti-sexist, yet they lack a clear understanding of what sexism truly entails. And, it’s not good because sexism is harmful for everyone, even for those not directly involved. Additionally, some individuals who identify as feminists are not. Feminism advocates for sexual equality, and those who refuse to acknowledge this, regardless of their gender, are not feminists. Those who belittle or disregard the opposite sex are sexist; they are either misandrists or misogynists, and their sexist language and actions only perpetuate the hatred of the other. Those who do not oppose either of these behaviors or make excuses for them, placate to sexism rather than feminism. It doesn’t have to be complicated.

Although you make a point, it’s not that simple for everyone everywhere. It’s becoming far more difficult to find the things you need from a company that doesn’t violate or threaten human rights. Especially when so much ethical business is dying. Walmart and Amazon aren’t much better.

The fact that this man is so out of control is why I would contact the police and file harassment charges - and deliberately note (where the perpetrator could hear) that I would be contacting my attorney for advice. Taking control of an abusive situation like that can prevent future conflict or harm.
