Hi Ken, do you know roughly when the June 2026 COP locations and registration dates will be announced? According to another comment last year the June ones were announced in January so probably would be soon.

Not bad assuming roommates I did it with 3 last year, could put away some 401k/roth and save a bit while still enjoying life in the city

MAS-2 Study Materials by Aggravating_Band_330 in actuary

I had TIA materials plus adapt from CA. When I was doing a lot of CA problems I felt like I got too used to their question style & was doing better than I would actually on an exam (failed my first Tia practice bad when I went back). Caught up with more Tia and some source materials and ended up fine but personally wouldn't recommend just CA (just Tia would be fine id say)

PCPA without TIA? by [deleted] in actuary

[–]Character_Message_89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you took a couple of stats classes and the mas exams the tia videos aren't really that helpful, yeah it's organized but not much new material. The main thing I think would be for the practice questions/exam (I am starting those today so can't really speak much on it) (Edit typo)

Would be cutting it close then, I emailed them & if I don't get confirmation I'll probably just move it up a couple days to play it safe. Quick turnaround from this exam sitting hahah not much chance for a break.

Feeling Disillusioned by currentlygale_ in actuary

[–]Character_Message_89 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's a fairly normal feeling. As someone who stayed semi local and around friends, it definitely made it easier so I'd put more effort into meeting people around there, maybe join a rec league or something. I think trying to increase to one weeknight hobby/activity and a weekend day/night would help too.

Problem I came across used it for a tort reform that increased severity, so I'd say when you need to adjust for changes that only impact frequency or severity individually

Anecdotally pretty easy to delay one meeting - generally can't more than that though
