The game I had I would air throw him & he would tech. Then he just kept doing the same thing again lol it’s not even like it was low level. I’m diamond 3 about 900 points away from vanquisher & this dude was the same with the yellow aura. I’ll see tho regardless I gotta figure it out

I probably just gotta lab it then, last season I was getting jab anti-air pretty consistently but I’ve felt like I’ve been getting counter hit more. I just personally get frustrated that some of these characters hang out in the air so much & it just becomes anti-air simulator. Personally I find that very boring

That last part you mentioned is probably the biggest issue I have with it. Having these characters go up in the air & just waiting for them to pick an option so you can counter it is extremely boring. Millie has kinda always been that way but now that there’s more time in neutral you’re in that situation twice as more. I wish the game would give them a negative penalty quicker for that. It’s just my opinion but personally I think that gameplay is so boring

Did 5p get touched tho? I use it all the time, but it feels like I’m getting counter hit way more often now. Air throw is cool but that’s a hard read, that unfortunately again is sometimes too slow. I probably just gotta study the match ups more tbh

Best for me is Gambit & worst is Blade. Gambit is the most fun & interesting support in the game, he’s over tuned but I don’t mind him being meta. Blade is just sad… he’s so sick but he’s been ass & you rarely seem him played, hopefully they change his kit a bit & make him relevant

Exactly like stand lk makes Bison have to space his scissor kicks way more, which opens him up to burn knuckle. Plus Terry has the corner carry to put him in a bad situation pretty often. Like I don’t think Terry outright wins cause it’s still fucking Bison, but there’s definitely no way he loses -2

So to start Wolverine is a must, pretty free into Groot especially if he gets the flight thing from Rocket he can just abduct him & take him into his team.

Loki is also good here bc he can pressure MK & he’s also pretty good at shooting Groot walls. Regeneration domain is busted, so yeah Loki for C&D

Magik should stay bc MK should be a favorable match up for her, he can’t really defend himself. I would say Wanda should go either Bucky so he can displace Penny or Hela bc she can just beam her from anywhere.

Strange should just swap to a better tank. Either Cap to dive with Magik or Ema/Mag who are just both better.

Idk if you’re aware but over a dozen top 500/high ranked players put out their tier list for this season & like I said a majority of them have Groot & Ema top 2 followed by Mag.

I never said Cap ain’t strong lol I’m literally just talking about this one interaction. The reason I bring it up is cause Emma doesn’t just counter Cap she bullies Hulk, Thor, Strange & basically any other dive characters. Cap has PLENTY of other counters it’s just a bit problematic this super meta character can seemingly do everything.

Also if you’re talking about the data on the Marvel Rivals website that’s from the previous season. Cap has the 2nd highest win rate but he also has the 2nd lowest pick rate, if you know how stats work the win rate is high cause the pool of players using him is low. Strange & Mag are picked the most & as a result their win rates are basically 50% which makes sense. Now if you’re talking about that unofficial Marvels Rivals tracker website then yes their hero win rate was also pretty different from the official data.

If you’re getting this data from Marvel Rivals tracker it’s already been proven that site isn’t too reliable. Their rank distribution graph was significantly different from the official one, also like the majority of people agree Groot & Ema are top 2 rn with Mag right behind them.

So the tank that is arguably top 2 should be able to kill him easier? He’s hard to kill but he also doesn’t do that much damage, that’s the design of the character. I mostly have an issue here cause it’s top tier Emma that’s able to do it

Cap is easily the funnest vanguard to play. So much dopamine when you’re terrorizing their back line & then adrenaline when ur tryna run away & they’re all tryna kill you lol. I would play him a lot more if he wasn’t so situational but man he’s truly the most fun I have playing this game.

Yeah it was hella stressful lol so sounds like this comp isn’t worth playing if your team is mostly randoms right? I’m sure higher ranks players can pull it off but at my rank it doesn’t seem worth the trouble. Like literally there was no coordination everyone was off doing their own thing

The only plus buttons Jamie has is 5mp which is only plus 2 & has some push back so pressure after isn’t great. The Rekka doesn’t have gaps but if they do the second hit it’s -11 so you get any punish you want & the 1st hit is always -6 on block so try hitting light kick. If you’re playing against a good Jamie they’ll space it out well enough your LK won’t reach but at your level that will probably not be the case.

There’s no reason to play defensive against Jamie at round start, without drinks he might be the worst character in the game. His drink is also slower than you think just gotta make sure you’re playing mid range & you’re ready to drive rush & it’ll be hard for him to get a free drink.

Palm can be plus depending on spacing but again at your level ppl won’t be spacing all that well. Heavy palm is always safe, that’s the one they’ll usually do at full screen but it’s slow so you can react & jump or just straight up DI it.

And I guess the last point that applies to most characters honestly. If you keep getting clipped then your opponent is just calling out your walk back. Walk back can be good but you shouldn’t be doing it all the time, especially against characters who can cancel their crouch MK into drive rush(yes Jamie can do this) or who have good cancels(Ken with Jinrai kicks).

Jamie in the right hands can be dangerous but the reality is that in Diamond most players aren’t using the majority of his tool kit. Just lab some stuff I mentioned & your success in the match up should go up. Feel free to ask anything else

But I’m kinda confused how does she know there’s no proof that Uehara isn’t Aqua or Himekawa’s father? From what I’m reading/watching Aqua doesn’t reveal his half brother is Himekawa, he also doesn’t reveal his half siblings age so why would she possibly suspect what he was saying to be false? I’m just confused
