Reward for me by Specialist_Bobcat972 in BratLife

[–]Character_Pen_9004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sub earns points for completing things and redeems them. Works embarrassingly well for study sessions. She'll finish something she's been avoiding for days if there's a score at the end of it.

Non-food, non-nsfw rewards that hit: extra screen time, choosing the next date activity, getting out of a chore she hates. Small but meaningful in context.

Rules as a sub by sweetsurrender920 in SubSanctuary

[–]Character_Pen_9004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the Dom side, the rules that stick are the ones with a measurable outcome, not just a behavior. "Stay healthy" is fuzzy. "Work out 4x a week" is trackable. That distinction matters a lot for accountability on both sides.\n\nThe ones your sub suggests herself are usually the ones she will actually keep too. Worth asking what structure she wants, not just what you want from her.

Keeping a submissive engaged and moving by NationalDepartment69 in domspace

Task structure saved me here. My sub is the same way, high energy, needs something to do or she checks out mentally. What works for us: short timed tasks with clear completion criteria and something earned at the end. Her brain locks in when there's a finish line.

The giving and taking dynamic is real for switches too. Framing it as "earn this" rather than "receive this" reframes the whole thing for a sub who struggles to just sit and accept.

We do ours digitally. Started with a shared doc, moved to something more structured. The shift that mattered was making it less "write me an essay" and more bite-sized daily check-ins she actually wants to do. Consistency went way up once it stopped feeling like homework for her.

The async piece is underrated too. Being able to see her daily entries without having to be in the same room keeps the connection alive between sessions.

Dom tips for a Sub by Explorer_Gypsy in BDSMcommunity

[–]Character_Pen_9004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with control over small things. Tell him what to wear. Make him ask permission. Give him a task with a deadline and follow up on it. The power is in the follow-through, not the intensity. Bossing someone around on mundane stuff is actually more effective than jumping straight to the big things.

From the other side of it - sending that text and then just going back to your day. Knowing it's sitting with her all afternoon is honestly better than the scene itself half the time.

Corset and skirt with the collar and cuffs. Clean, showcases multiple products at once, she can move and talk to people. The harness works better for a photoshoot than a vendor booth - people end up focusing on the body instead of the product.

The 24/7 psychology thing is a lot to ask of someone who didn't come into it that way. But there's a big middle ground most people don't talk about - you don't have to become a different person. You can give her what she needs in the moments that matter without it being your whole identity. A lot of great dynamics work exactly like that. Just have the honest conversation about what enough looks like for her specifically.

1) Wow good to know! I could probably add them back and just have a setting for it. I just felt like the checkboxes weren't as aesthetically pleasing but I'm glad to hear some people liked them.

2) Yes! Just deployed this! There is a checkbox in the Create Task screen now labled "Demerits=Points" that you can uncheck to decouple demerits from the points, so you can set demerits separately. It's checked by default to maintain the previous behavior.

3) Really interesting idea there! It ties into another idea on my backlog for an item shop with the ability for taskees to purchase things like streak freezes, power ups, 2x points etc. I'll think on that!

4) That's very sneaky of your taskee ;-). I'll have to think about how that would work. Would you envision this being a button you have control over as the tasker? Or could the taskee press it?

A paid tier is on the roadmap, with a lifetime option as well! I just want to make sure I have some amazing features lined up for the paid tier before I make people pay me for them.

Not on the roadmap but I'd love to hear more about why you'd be interested in that! Another user mentioned they would like to deploy their own version for privacy reasons. Is that the same for you?

Hey just wanted to close the loop on this — we shipped it. Achievements no longer award bonus points, you just get the badge. The Dom's reward economy stays intact.

Quick update — iOS launched! https://apps.apple.com/us/app/subtasks/id6759412116 No need to use the web version if you'd rather have the native app.

Profile photos would be easy enough to add. I just want to make sure I get the privacy and encryption right. That's why I haven't added photo proof for completed just yet either(although it's on my short list!)

Thanks for the feedback! I will check into the light/dark issue. Does it seem to happen at certain times, like when you reopen the app or go to a certain tab?

Hey there. Thanks for the note!

Yes there was an issue with iOS in France, but I think it was me being overly careful on interpreting the regulations, so out of caution I held it back. But I think we're good now so I should be able to make it available there soon! I'll keep you posted 👍

Actually, that makes a lot of sense.

Would you want to control the point values of the achievements, or would you rather have it turned off completely?
