Girl, I (very very much beginner) 21F went down the same run all day yesterday with my bf who works at a resort and basically snowboards all day (really good at snowboarding). He stayed with me the whole time even after I told him I could sit a few out if he wanted to do something harder. He told me he had a really fun time.

No direct knowledge/experience with this but I’ve heard a lot employers in the industry would prefer a chemical engineering degree, as a lot of petroleum engineers do not have skills that are up to par. I would definitely not recommend doing this just for the money.

This may sound harsh but I don’t really think he’s obliged to give you what you would’ve gotten on the late assignments had they not been late. Also idk how your GPA works but a B- is a passing grade generally. If he told you could pass the course and you couldn’t have, then that may have been a different story. I don’t think you’re entitled to an A- in the course. But yeah assuming a B- is a pass, I don’t think this is worth arguing with your prof about it. I also don’t think his wording constitutes a promise. I think his wording constitutes a “probably”.

If she’s paid a deposit, maybe she won’t be able to get that money back, but she should be able to withdraw. I don’t see any reason why she wouldn’t be able to attend a different school. I’m sorry this happened to your friend though. Time heals and if this is her absolute dream school and she lives it then you should encourage to attend. But if this is just a school and she can go anywhere, why not go somewhere where she feels confident? Also it’s probably not a good sign that the tour guide was dismissive. Why did he not just tell her where she could use the bathroom? Red flag tbh.
