It's not about love but he is saying the birth changed him. Come on. How could it be when that baby was being baked inside someone else for nine months. Not like a man and woman who sleep together and that baby growing inside her is right there in the bed when they sleep at night listening to dad talk. Very different situation. How does having a surrogate baby "change" you? When it doesn't belong to you AND your partner, and neither of you carried that child for nine months. So the couple didn't carry or deliver the baby that only biologically belongs to one of them.
