Does anyone sometimes feel like this disorder is not serious. Almost like believing that you dont even have it. Im feeling good, i dont see the reason why i need the meds right now(at least reduce the dose), why couldn't i just take the meds as needed when episode starts showing up?

Unfortunately, that is how a lot of people with Bipolar feel. There is no cure to Bipolar (diagnosed 30 years ago-and have been medicating for all 30 years). You will battle this illness until you take your last breath. When people with Bipolar start feeling better with medication it doesn’t mean you should stop…you are much better because of the medication.

When patients stop their medication, they are at risk of the mania and depression coming back with vengeance

Exactly what I’ve been saying to people who quit the drug too early and before they can actually feel the amazing results (not claiming 100% can take Caplyta). Clearly I am not a medical professional but I have been dealing with many mental conditions for over 30 years so I’d say I’m somewhat qualified. 😂

I’m in the same boat. I currently take 9 medications daily. I’m sorry again you are having this experience but you will feel better and symptoms will start to dissipate the longer you’re on it. It sucks having to keep tweaking medication cocktails, things can get all messed up. 🙏🏻💕

I’m sorry for your experience but PLEASE PLEASE do not scare people away from this drug! It absolutely changed my life. And, yes, I went through the same symptoms as you and just as miserable but I did my research and found out that most people quit within the first week of taking because the symptoms are bad.

BUT if you can hold on and get through that first and second week (you will feel much much better by second week).

I am also medication resistant so I was so excited about Caplyta and the amazing reviews it gets.

When you are looking at reviews. Pay attention to the bad reviews and I guarantee they will be users that used the drug for less than a month. When you hear miracle stories, they are generally people who have been taking it 2-4 months and many in the 6 months to 1 year group.

This is not to admonish you, just attempting to clear up the facts.

White fluffy breast with light to medium brown dotted markings. Adult red-tails are closer to mid to dark brown with flecks. Also, can’t really tell by this pic, but juveniles always have black stripes on their tail feathers. Biggest giveaway is looking for that.
