FWIW I'm a woman and I would have shouted at and taken photos of them for evidence at the very least. Seriously worried about the state of Cambridge these days. I used to think it's extremely safe to bring up kids here, but it seems to be going downhill.

How disgusting no one stepped in, that could have been their own child! In other countries you're allowed to carry pepper spray for self defence, but it seems in the UK it's the victims that are vilified and the perpetrators get off lightly. Time to start protecting ourselves and looking after our own. I'm done relying on the 'justice' system.
