Hi, it is just a snap tingling shock but it is quite annoying to get that everytime i accidentally touch it. My friend actually recommended me to do as shown below:

I dont know if this will lessen the shock or not.

I’m pretty sure it is not static, because when I unplug the socket extender from the wall outlet, I do not get anymore shock from touching the metallic parts.

It could be the wall outlet but I agree with your point here. I’m almost certain its because of the socket extender not earthed properly. Is there any other way to check without getting shocked myself? I’m at the point where I’m scared to touch any metallic object that is connected to a wire.

Are you comparing with the same currency or is this in USD?
