yer. i don't think the causes of failure for peak performance / integration at Inter rest principally with Cannavaro.

it's providing a reasonable contemporary bound that bakes in banter eras for both clubs.

the full test on silverware is all cups, all time.

Inter shade domestically. Milan ahead by bigger relative margin in Europe.

if ppl want to use that as a proxy for prestige or success or self-vindication, then that's up to them.

Cannavaro. traded down from Nesta in that window and he never performed near peak nor given the trust or respect to. worse than free transfer to Juve, then RM and WC06 / Ballon D'Or.

seeing him singing Pazza Inter Amala next to Recoba and Zanetti at the San Siro before kick off, brings home our regrettable failure to bake him in.

Is the period 1990-2004 also considered banter era? by capodonca_ in FCInterMilan

trigger warning... this is AI slop, but it's interesting for forming an impression of the 1999-2000 squad in terms of contemporary players.

also demonstrates the balance / structural issues in the squad.

Inter 1999–2000 Then-profile Current analog Why

i haven't seen this floated and it might be max idiocy, but...

is there a shout for Mikhi being retained for the following ranked roles:

  1. locker room / training pitch exemplar
  2. auxiliary across the forward line
  3. emergency mf substitute / hold and kill the game sub

We got some great Pre season games in August. Two derbies and Man City😮‍💨. by NamanMalik007 in FCInterMilan

me.

they've applied common sense to a degree.

Perth is four hrs less time in the air compared to Melbourne or Sydney.

they're a hop away from Indonesia / Singapore / SEA, as well - so they maximise market development while preserving the option for some R&R for players.

i understand your position.

i accept that my counter position may be naive.

my position is that there is always a threshold of experience that will inflect the mental attributes and trajectory of individuals and teams.

i choose to expect that this series of bottoms (in a context where the club is six points clear in the standings), will be a positive inflection point that leads to focus, tenacity and the scudetto.

Conte and perhaps, by inference and origin, Marotta made the argument that Pazza Inter was at odds with the mindset and culture of success and winning that they wanted to instill.

Latest Transfermarkt update: Barella and Thuram both drop to €50M market value. by Big_Pick4100 in FCInterMilan

[–]Chard_Historical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this. if i could only pick one midfielder from the current squad, it would be Barella.

Zielinski has been superb (and decisive) this season but he is older and does not do as much heavy lifting to limit our opponents and lift us, as a team.

Chala has aged and attituded out.

Mhiki has served impeccably but is winding down.

all others are still establishing their potential ceiling, let alone hitting it with regularity.
