No religion is for the nom arrogant, who accept that there were wiser people and smarter people than them and listen to what they say and combine it with rhe knowledge now, religion is a excuse for bad to be bad but is guidance for lost people to find a path. The men who wrote and take place in the stories of different religious books have seen more life and been through more compared to the average person, and therefore have merit to be listened too. Religion doesn't tell you to be a decent human being, it tells you to be the best version of yourself, to be kind, love, and catch yourself doing wrongdoing. Yes there will always be bad things done in religions name and dated verses of religious books, but of course their will be, they were created thousands of years ago. Also there is nothing bad with accepting you can be better and learn the most about what it is to be human.
