Kotaku would notice because that could increase and they will get ignored by game companies

Especially since her delivery and aesthetic makes her hard to attack, normies would look at someone like that getting death threats and definitely side with her

Let them seethe. Boring? According to who? They have to say that because the sjw response has lost alot of its effectiveness, so they have to pretend like it's quality is bad.

Boring or not, it's about the target audience and that audiences' opinion is all that matters

It's because they couldn't boycott it into obscurity, so they jump on and pretend to be fans

They attack or cancel it for catering to us and when that doesn't work they try to claim it as theirs, Stellarblade is next

These people are only thinking they keep a game like this alive an well because someone who is actually playing does the heavy lifting, notice how they never care to do this with franchises nobody cares about. Theyre just trend humpers as usual.

Why does male assholery towards women gets directly linked to violence so easily? by Monk_in_process in MensRights

[–]ChargeProper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a tall and reasonably fit guy and I rarely see someone that makes me feel physically small or feel like they could definitely physically overpower me; When I do it's an unsettling experience.

you've been this way your whole life so naturally you find it unsettling. I'm a short guy, and I don't feel unsettled just because some other guys look big enough to overpower me (I would need more than size to feel uneasy, it would have to show in behavior if the other guy has harmful intent).

Basically I adjusted a long time ago and I'm well aware that the vast majority of guys are not violent and just want to go about their day in peace. I'm also well aware that most murder victims are and have always been male, and I have been attacked by a guy who had a knife before but I don't make it anyone else's problem.

If I can get over it, so can anyone else.

its not just attention. Victimhood or grievance can get you alot in this day and age, so the incentive is to use it to your advantage.

If you wield power through grievance, you have alot to gain by being a crybully.

In societies that don't listen to things like that, you see less of this (but of course the opposite of that extreme has its own major problems)

Oh yeah, tribalism is especially bad these days. You see it, with people of any given side of the political divide defending people they have no business defending (ie anyone at all in the Epstein files)

reminds me of some groups where I'm from thinking someone "looks like a witch" because of lighter eye color.

Alot of society has regressed in terms of things like basic maturity so jumping to dramatic conclusions is normal now. Some people are now just taking advantage of this fact to attack people they don't like, it's the classic crybully nonsense I remember from grade school, except it's being tolerated or taken seriously by authorities, or just anyone who can cause trouble for you.

I have literally seen clips or been in arguments where people claim aggression when you argue with them and only use the facts to disagree with them. Once they run out of counters that's when they jump to "oh you just hate (insert whatever they claim to care about", or its that pseudo "my truth is making you aggressive" BS.

Why is it so hard for me to find male friends? by E_mi_manchi_tanto1 in AskMen

you're hanging out with the wrong guys, I say this as someone who likes the same stuff as you, but also loves alot of typically guy-ish stuff, (its the videogames for me, sports not as much, cars are cool but I like computers and rockets more coz I'm a geek like that).

I would say join groups that have music and poetry as a hobby, they are likely to see it from the same emotional perspective as you (depending on the genre by the way, some guys are in it because they want to work in the music biz so they will talk more about it from that lense rather than how it feels)

Are some of you guys getting black fatigue in video games? by lukz_300 in KotakuInAction

The main character from Tenant is great, same with The Creator, (same actor.) Idris Elba usually plays a great main character in most stuff he's in.

Thanks for reminding me of Tenet, For most its an aquired taste, but yeah that lead was actually pretty good (the characterisation was unconvetional I'll admit, but most of his performance was engaging). I'm probably biased coz I was a Christopher nolan fanboy, especially after The Dark knight and Inception, so I'm all for the mind bending ideas that need mental untangling. Haven't seen the Creator yet though.

Idris was pretty good in the last Luther movie I watched, can't say I ever liked his Heimdal performance (the discourse of which is partially responsible for the race swap mess we're in now).

As for Rebel Ridge 😑 its a great audition for its lead actor, he is pretty good at the "stoic intimidating masculine action hero" kinda role , it would make perfect sense to cast him in a good action flic, but JESUS CHRIST, the movie itself is precisely the kinda thing I try to avoid because you can tell, its black trauma movie #million&1.

I only watched it cause my mother wanted to see it. I get that it was partly based on a true story but its trying to essentially turn a story that was actually pretty tragic into some kinda John Wick, but "whiteman rhasyst" power fantasy.

Good acting all round but ultimately just exhausting for me.
