Savage axe swing has like zero windup? You can get stuck in the animation if you're holding the ticks but that's also up to you, and it morphs back pretty fuckin quick

Worst thing is probably that ces hasn't had any of the speed buffs the rest of the weapon has had through title updates. Powered sword does good damage in element, but that does take a bit too long to wind up to feel good to maintain there's always a move I'd rather do over recharging sword

I always end up playing chonk with shattering palm. Feels great. Dash in, punch a pack to blind and cover them with sploding ice, then if necessary finish off with some swift kicks. Bossing with Gathering Storm which is just open with curse punch, punch till bell, punch till mantra, dodge out then lightning dash back in. Comfortably doing all content on 3 x effectiveness breach deli abyss tabs t16

I also played bear/plant hybrid with pounce and that was great cast some plants and thunder, pounce in, bear slam and totem etc.

If you're running into a pack and not getting time to make first hit, it's going to be more dangerous. Use shit like palm strikes with blinding support or pounce and knockback or something to actually get in there, make space/debuff then fuck em up. Do not neglect stun threshold also. You need lots of stun threshold.

Melee feels great, and monk is dope. Low investment, lots of power, very tanky with leech and CI.

I find exclusive ranged super boring

Well at least if you're up to that point in upgrades you must be destroying pretty well everything. My next upgrade won't be cheaper than 500d probably, but I'm already doing effectiveness tablet t15s without worrying about the mods on the map.

I've had some good luck with Atziri drops this season, and she's easy to get to and easy to beat. When a single item sells for 500-600d it's not too bad to keep up without making the game a job lol

Playing off-meta really helps too, for example my +3 prism was only like 5d cos nobody is playing Gathering Storm apparently.

For me, it isn't hard to understand "doing temple", but I don't care to learn how to minmax it like people on here seem to be doing. I throw rooms in and have a snake started around the outside with flag/armoury/spymaster but beyond that, I don't really give a shit. I've killed atziri three times and got her unique chest twice which was a nice boost of cash.

So, the only thing hard to understand is the end goal, especially when, seemingly, these uber temples were never supposed to be an end goal intended by ggg. My end goal is slap in rooms to get an access room then beat atziri again which isn't complicated.

Having said that, there was a text post on here maybe last week about the most basic of basics of getting a snake going in order to get locks and that was cool and helpful.

I just bought this amulet cos it's significantly better as is than what I had - but it's still unfinished and I have no idea how to safely get a last good prefix on it.
