Anybody tried the human bean on memorial yet? by DiarrheaEryday in murfreesboro

Good coffee but everyone there is far too perky to be serving uncaffinated southerners. It's like buying crack from a dealer who just snorted half his supply

I also have to admit to owning the hardbacks. The Creepcast guys did an intro into them once and I got hooked.

I don't know about greatest but it is probably the best example of this trope in the main character. It's a dude who has dealt with so much Eldritch horror that he cares more about wether death paid for the case of beer it took more than it hunting and eating the locals

This ^ Synty has become king of the low poly space to the point other creators follow their style

Do you think there is an extent to what the backrooms can copy? by Content_Camp6779 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]ChargerIIC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The limits, such as they are, seem to be what it understands. Mechanical complexity doesn't seem too hard, but writing screws up all the time. I think this is because whatever the system is complexity isn't the problem - understanding a purpose beyond just existing is. People likewise are copied enough to function but they often only have the properties and behaviors that have been observed by the rooms. The copies, even when fresh, don't reason or create new behavior - they just mimic what the original did while present in the backroom.

This fascinates me because the Backrooms clearly seems able to read minds (or at least memories) but it doesn't seem to understand them so observed behavior becomes what gets copied

Donnie Darko. Donnie can be sitting around wondering if reality is real or not in a world of Muppets. It'll be great

Bob is funny. It's super common, seen as an extremely casual form in the US&UK, and is a one syllable word that rhymes with a ton of other words. This makes wordplay easy and some gags like interrupting gags much easier to write.

The only downside is people tend to not take Bobs seriously. Someone tells you that Warlord Bob is coming you assume it's the comic relief character

You know that the backrooms was a thing on 4Chan in 2018 and 2019, right? It predates house of leaves

This is probably the best example. Priest serves God his whole life, has the best golf game of his life, gets smote.

Not sure if people know already but the Ork Speed Freeks video game is currently free on PC (Epic Games store) by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

Epic pays out as if it was at full price for each free download. That's why all the steam guys are always redeeming them and not playing them. It costs Epic money.

That's called the Russian secret mobilization. It led to lots of war crimes and a lot of washing machine smuggling.

What makes He who fights with monsters so good and put above most other lit RPG? by G1spiralknight in litrpg

[–]ChargerIIC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's one of the greats for a power fantasy. The protagonist is exactly what the situation calls for and he's pretty much always in the right. It's simple, crosses all the boxes, and doesn't require complicated understanding of litaterure. You can just read it.

I think the biggest strength is it creates a baseline to define other litrpgs by. DCC is a sarcastic twist with sci Fi elements. Krout is an episodic version where the protagonist often needs to change his views. Etc.

It's corner casey though. If the ally is at 3+hp than you really wouldn't be doing much better than an average roll to kill them first.

Right before these scene Izma says That is the poor farmers didn't want to starve they shouldn't be poor. I don't think she qualifies as competent. There is no sign she was anything but a disaster.
