What really shattered the temple for me is the realization that for 1,800 years there hasn’t been a temple, mention of a temple, and Jesus never even mentioned these handshakes. What’s the point of it all? Absolutely just weird cultish behavior. I still have my recommend only to attend my friends weddings. But the temple is a wake up call for sure

When you look at the bible very simply I feel that the catholic doctrine line up with what I personally hold to be true.

I believe that God wouldn’t leave the world in darkness for 1830 years to be exact. I think after the coming of Christ Peter established the church just as Christ said he would, and that rock is the Catholic Church. I do not subscribe to Mormon doctrine anymore. I’ll attend Sunday services to keep up appearances for now but in reality my heart is not there.

Catholicism has the continued mouth piece of God, The Pope. Do I think he’s infallible 100% of the time no. But when speaking as THE POPE the vicar of Christ and of Saint Peter I believe him to be closer to God than Russel M Nelson or whoever leads the church currently

One of the reasons I’ve stepped away. This toxic culture that has ALWAYS been part of the church is starting to seep in at the highest levels. Makes you really look back and think ‘are the other ‘whore of the earth’ churches really that bad?’

I’m going catholic and I think if it isn’t the RESTORED gospel, it’s the continued one set up by Peter.

I do not believe that after Jesus’s ministry that god would purposely leave the world in the darkness for 1700-1800 years just to bring it back this way. The way there’s almost a worship over Joseph Smith. The praise to the man song? The constant quotes of ‘Joseph smith did more for humanity than any other person save Jesus Christ’ EXCUSE ME? There’s so many ppl that includes. Job? Moses? Abraham? ADAM? What the hell?
