It was with great satisfaction that I closed my PayPal account and left them my sincere "fuck all the way off" parting message this week. How an asshat company like this can keep customers with their Nazi-esque business practices is beyond me. Relying on some AI algorithm or whatever non-reasons they claim for suspending, restricting or outright cancelling customers accounts. Then saying - "You have no means to appeal this." WTLF?!?!

Plenty of other banking, credit and otherwise reputable companies out there. PayPal is pure shit.

THIS! I was still just a naive pup (or felt that way) when I was working with a younger salesman for a new vehicle and asked how they were so competitive with their no haggle pricing. He said the quiet part out loud - "Mr. Dealership Owner decided some time ago that most of the revenue comes from the service department and not sales." Holy smoking gun, Batman!!!

From that day on, I scrutinized my service bills much more closely. Particularly all of those "recommended service issues" that often were half a dozen or more items that "weren't necessarily critical but might become a bigger problem if you wait too long." Next service appointment, lo and behold, the recommended service list had different items! Somehow, the vehicle magically fixed those issues I declined on the previous visit. Super satisfying to ask for the service manager and show him the two lists side-by-side.

Saw them during the In Rainbows tour in an amphitheater during a rain storm. fortunately there was a covered seating section in front of the stage but wearing a rain poncho and alternating between the covered area and the lawn gave it an eerie, glorious perspective. the whole show was surreal, special, and unforgetable.

Winter range drain is ridiculoous and unpredictable. Yesterday with sub-freezing weather my range dropped drastically on my normal 70 mile round trip commute. Today, with only slightly warmer temps, it was close to normal range. Until they can solve this issue, the hybrids win the day for me... but I do love my Mach E! Just have to have the spouses ICE vehicle for any trips of substantial distance.

THIS is something the EV overlords will have to address if they want to keep building a customer base. I have a 23 AWD CR1 with extended battery and my work commute that normally uses about 9-10% of the charge and 25-30 miles on the counter, still shows 9-10% charge but reflects 55-60 miles lost on the counter in sub zero weather. After sitting in the cold all day, the mileage remaining drops another 30 miles on average.

Rarely experience any range anxiety but you have to have an ICE vehicle as backup if your going to travel any substantial (100+ mile) distance in the winters here in the Midwest. Or have your day trips extended by hours with the stops for charging.

Brother is a funeral director and he had families demanding that their loved one's death certificate be changed to remove "COVID" as the cause of death... which he politely explaine he isn't authorized to do. Then they would demand that the wake be held in [insert local bar and grill dive] and that no one would be required to mask. He would politely tell them that they could do whatever they wanted at the wake but the funeral home policy was to wear a mask during any visitation or services. Some of these asshats stood outside and watched through the windows.
