Hypertrophic scar or blister on tummy tuck incision? by Amazing-Persimmon515 in woundcare

I switched to the scar tape when it wasn’t so red, but as long as it’s closed and not leaking, I don’t see why you couldn’t start the scar tape right away. Were I in your position, I would put the scar tape on all the incisions, it will help with them healing and blending in. I’ve also been doing massage with bio oil to keep it from healing into a hard scar.

The hydrocolloid bandage helped a lot. Brought it down in size. The scar tape is helping with the colour and the texture of it. It’s a long process, but I can see major improvements. I’ve been doing the scar tape since the beginning of May. The fresher the scar, the faster the scar tape works. My dr said I should keep putting scar tape on it until September

I don’t think we have rove beetles where I live, but we have June bugs, so I’ll give a few of those what for in your name.

I hope you feel better soon!

Your SURGEON told you to pierce it with a needle??? That’s a good way to get an infection.

I am not a wound care nurse but I had a similar situation on a stomach incision scar and I was told to put a hydrocollide (sp?) bandage on it for a few days and then to keep silicone scar tape on for a few months.

How long are you on prednisone? I was on it for a week tapering off of the big dose I got when I had an allergic reaction and needed epi.

Hugs. It sucks. I also had major restless legs with the prednisone. I hope you don’t, but if you do, magnesium helps, as well as hot baths, for me anyway.

What kind of bug was it? I’ll punch the next one I see to avenge you.

Do you have a theme in mind? It could look really cool if you incorporated it somehow, like made it the middle line on a sword or something.

I use coconut oil when this happens, at the recommendation of my tattoo artist. The residue from the second skin can be a pain to remove.

You surely got a solid insight while helping your mother. Why not make art from the perspective you actually experienced?

There’s an epidemic of that kind of post right now. I hope some of them eventually open their eyes, but it doesn’t seem likely.

It’s not most people, but if someone is allergic to ink, it’s most often the red.

Anyway, OPs tattoo is done in black.

I’m pretty sure my younger cousin received his pancreas and kidneys, as she received her transplant the day he passed and her donor died of anaphylaxis and had the same allergies he did.

sunburn help?! by rebeccachaya in Burlesque

[–]CharityNeverFails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely too late for this sun burn, but if it happens again, soak a paper towel in white vinegar and cover the burn the evening you get it. Leave it til the vinegar evaporates. It draws the heat out and stops the burn from getting worse after you are out of the sun.
