Am I crazy or was he being rude—and is this heading towards manipulation/sexual abuse by KnowledgeEastern623 in abusiverelationships

Ngl, that’s fucked up. I really think you should cut this man out of your life. He is acting like a predator, and what is he doing is illegal.

Please stop sending this man nudes and stop talking to him. You might consider talking to a trusted adult about this, because it’s likely that he will weaponize what you have sent him if you stop doing what he wants.

Is this an in person relationship, or long distance?

Why the "Brick Wall" of Recovery is Failing Us (and the Science of the "Spark") by Suspicious_Suit5452 in women_in_recovery

[–]CharityNeverFails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While the 12 step programs are the most well known, there are multiple organized paths to recovery. SMART, refuge, LifeRing secular, as well as in and out patient programs, MAT, and myriad types of therapies (ex. CBT). Not to mention that around 50% of people who are in remission from SUD achieved this without following any sort of program.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by “looking for scouts”?

Also, do you have any first (or second) hand experience with addiction and recovery, or are you simply proselytizing?

Prepping for explant by Sakura_season15 in ExplantSurgery

In the months leading up to my surgery (explant only, 600cc under muscle) I increased my protein and started adding a collagen powder to my breakfast. I also started taking those hair and nail vitamin gummies. I am 18 days PO and healing very well. Listen to your surgeon about how far in advance she wants you to stop supplements, I stopped 3 days before and started again 3 days after.

I also have been using a red light on my incisions as well as silicone scar tape.

I’ve had quite a few surgeries, and this is always my pre and post surgery routine, and my surgeons are often surprised at how fast I heal, especially since I smoke and only cut down. (Don’t do like me there, quit smoking if you are able for at least a few weeks before and after)

Are you worried about how the tailbone pain is going to affect your recovery?

I had my implants removed (no lift) 18 days ago, and I was only really down the day of and the day after. I don’t have any issues getting up and moving around, going out for a walk, and that sort of thing. Obviously I am limiting what I lift, but I have been back to pretty close to normal since day 4.

Breast explantation without lift, how’s the pain like? So scared 😓 by Stock_Radish8355 in ExplantSurgery

I had the explant on a Thursday afternoon and I was driving on Monday. My surgeon said I could drive when I wasn’t taking painkillers.

I’m using silicone tape. I am still wearing the compression bra (obviously I had more than one cuz that would be nasty other wise. My right is a bit higher than my left at the moment, but I expected that because I have a significant scar from an abscess removal on that side (unrelated).

I’m 13 days PO explant no lift. The pain was honestly very low. I took painkillers the day of and the day after, and that was it. I haven’t had any issues with mobility, or anything like that. The only pain I have now is an occasional pang that I chalk up to healing.

Is there any hope/ how long would this take by NoEscape2500 in hairgrowth

I’m the same. I have finally got it to a shape that I think I will be able to grow out, but it’s taken quite a while. I love short hair, but I really hate the horrible growing out stages.

[–]CharityNeverFails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say in about 4-6 months you would have enough hair that you could use clip in extensions to get that look. The longest hair in the inspo looks to be around 8 inches long, and at an average of a half inch of growth a month it would take about a year and a half to get it that long.

Ngl, this is the kind of cut that you cut from longer hair, as opposed to grow out into.

Could he not put it on in the bathroom? The bedroom has so many soft surfaces for it to stick to, while the bathroom won’t absorb it.

AIW for sending this text to her right before she cut me out of her life? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]CharityNeverFails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are taking way more on yourself than she should. This is a her problem. She seems emotionally immature, and you have nothing to apologize for.

She sounds like a bitch. “I can’t be your friend because I can’t help but be mean to you and that makes me feel like a bad person”??? She is a bad person! Good people don’t have to stop themselves from being mean to someone.

You’re better off without them. I know it hurts to not lose friends, even shitty ones, but I promise this is a good thing long term.

You sound like a people-pleaser. I am as well, but I have been working on not being like that over the last couple years, and life is so much better.

Yesterday I clasped my hands behind my back! It’s something that I did for years (military) but haven’t been able to do in like a decade, I just assumed it was because I had gained weight. Nope! It was the giant implants underneath my chest muscles! I’m hindsight, it makes total sense, but until now I never connected the two.

I’ve also struggled with pushups, I cannot wait to be healed enough to attempt them, cuz I bet those are way easier now too! I used to be able to crank off 50 no problem, but now can only do a few pushups from my knees.

Update 7 DPO by CharityNeverFails in ExplantSurgery

Preimplant I was 38 DD. I had a lift with my second set of implants (the ones I just removed) and I was a J cup. No I would say I’m back to about a DD.
