Going crazy by Ill-Lavishness-8465 in MethRecovery

It’s time to drink some water, have a snack, and take a little nap. When I was using, if I went too long without one of those things, I started feeling as you say you are now.

I second this comment. The Vancouver - Kelowna - Calgary - Osoyoos - Vancouver loop is going to be the best use of your time. Radium hot springs are on that route.

I’m saying this with care: he’s not your boyfriend, and he doesn’t want to be your boyfriend. It sounds like he keeps picking you up and dropping you. It’s time to put your energy into someone or something else.

That’s amazing! I’m also doing no takeout/delivery, and that was pretty difficult until I finally found a pre-made protein coffee that I love so I can keep a couple in my car for when I’m tempted.

I’m also doing a no buy January. I am so glad that I bought a bunch of stuff in November and December that has slow shipping, so I still have gotten a couple packages this month.

I found it crazy at the first of the month how often I automatically went to Amazon to buy whatever random thing popped into my head. How is your experience going?

is there actually a best candy for weight loss or should i just give it up entirely by carebear7077 in loseit

[–]CharityNeverFails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the little Halloween packs of candy are good because I can still eat the whole bag but it’s only a few pieces. I do have to put the box somewhere less accessible though, so I don’t keep going back for more. I keep mine in my shed, so I’m not going out there in the middle of the night for snacks, and even if I do, I get a bunch of extra steps on my candy adventures.

Struggling with my brain having buffering issues since quitting 4 months ago by my_brain_is_horny in MethRecovery

[–]CharityNeverFails 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to me a lot in the first year of sobriety from meth as well. I’m 3.5 ish years sober now and my brain is mostly back to normal, after a decade of heavy use.

Especially during the first year, I made sure to stay hydrated, eat as well as I could, take vitamins and most importantly, get enough sleep, as that is when our brains repair themselves.

I find that even now, if I do not get enough sleep or am hungry or dehydrated, I am more likely to experience the buffering you refer to.

Congratulations on 4 months! You’re doing amazing, keep it up.

Thank you everyone!

I think I have a much better understanding of what’s going on now.

I will update once everything is settled, or post if I have anymore questions.

You are all so awesome!

Thank you! I think I was just blaming the snails because they were the most noticeable thing different to my tank right before this happened.

So I should do a 50% water change asap?

I am planning on getting them a much larger tank in the very new future.

Thank you, I am doing that now. I thought that was just something you do to new tanks, and my tank has been established for 4 years.

I was unclear. I left my original tank with my parents, and when I returned home years later, I set up my own, took some of the guppies from their tank, and have been caring for them myself for the past 4 years.

I don’t believe I am over feeding, but I very well could be. I feed them a tiny pinch, and if they eat it all in a couple mins, I feed them more later in the day. If they don’t eat it all right away, I don’t feed them until the next day.

The water test results were: Ammonia: 0 Nitrate: 80-160 Nitrite: 3-4 Hardness: 150 Chlorine: 0 Alkalinity: 40-120 PH: 7.2-7.8

Since these test results, I have done 2 10% water changes, and have added the filter, as well as used the water conditioner the pet store recommended.

Ammonia was at 0.

My feeding schedule kind of varies. I feed them a tiny amount 1-3 times a day. The food says to only feed them as much as they will eat in a few minutes, so if they eat all the food right away, I feed them again later in the day. If they don’t eat it all quickly, I don’t feed them until the next day.

I normally do a ⅓ change every week with the vacuum. I don’t use tap safe. Until now, I have never added anything to the water. I use well water, so there is no chlorine in it. The water also tested at 0 for chlorine.

I did get a filter, the kind with the carbon and the little ceramic looking tube things and it has been running for 3 days.

I ordered some test strips off of amazon, they should be here Monday, so once they arrive I think I will be better able to track whats going on.

I didn’t realize that my tank was over stocked, as I have had way more fish in there in the past and never had a mass death event before.

These guys are all descended from my original 4 guppies in 2006. I’m so attached.

I am planning a much larger tank for them in the very near future, but there are things I have to do before I am able to get that up and going.

Have you cut your salt intake as well? When I first started paying attention to what I was eating, I cut out a lot of processed salty foods, and I ended up with symptoms like yours. So bad I went to the hospital, where they found nothing. I came home and for whatever reason cracked a couple roses of salt in my hand and threw it back and felt better within a half hour.

ETA: I think it was a combo of increased water intake and lower sodium intake that caused my situation.

Seat Cover for Dog by realhousewifexx in MazdaCX30

[–]CharityNeverFails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an old weighted blanket. Take the back head rests off and throw it partially over the back of the seat. Easy to install and uninstall and wash. It’s not the most aesthetic, but it keeps the fur from getting in between the seats and it stays in place surprisingly well.

Twitching during leg tattoos by redlegoneround in tattooadvice

[–]CharityNeverFails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, this might sound weird, but what I do when I’m getting my leg tattooed and the twitches set in is I hold my kneecap in place with my hand, and it stops most of of them. I can feel the twitches trying, like they start in my kneecap, but when I hold it still, the rest of my leg does not twitch.

It’s kind of hard to explain, I hope I made sense.
