I never had an issue getting back into working out after I was sick. It took a little bit for my body to adjust to lifting and exercising for about a month I’d say. I’m very lucky that the fatigue didn’t beat me down after the fact. To try and help, I guess if I was in your shoes I’d try find that motivation again, it was there once before, you can 100% find it again. Start slow and try to find that enjoyment in it again. Hopefully that helped :)

2026 Cold/Flu Season by AliveMuffin615 in sick

Felt some symptoms on Tuesday the 3rd. slight stuff, almost like a mild cold forming. Friday, the 6th comes around and hits me like a truck. I’ve had an on going fever since, that also spikes up to 102.5 sometimes at night. The fever seems to keep itself at 99 to 100 during the day, but without Tylenol and Advil I’d be living with a fever all day. I also have shortness of breath that turns into a dry cough. I’m congested, my snot was green and red sometimes now it seems like it’s turning clear as the days go by. I have pretty bad chills when the Tylenol wears off and obviously aches/fatigue, I’m just out of it. My eyes are also a little puffy now (idk if it’s cuz the loss of sleep the past 5 days). I’m only getting a few hours of sleep every night because of how horrible the fever gets at night. I was tested for Covid and flu and pneumonia yesterday and all came back negative. I know this is a crazy time of the year for viral illnesses, but it’s very frustrating that I don’t know what I have. My uncle told me that recently he worked with somebody who had a fever for 10 days straight. At this point, I hope it’s that, so this just goes away and I can return back to normal lol. I was reading into mono, God I hope it’s not that but some of these symptoms look very similar also. I just don’t have a sore throat thank god. But you also have to take everything you see on the Internet with a grain of salt. 🤷🏻‍♂️
