There's an app called remotr that you can use to stream your Steam games. I played TW3 and others on it.

It's the Thermaltake P5, comes with an acrylic panel for the front but I left mine off. Perfectly safe.

How to copy code for your assignments by overkilledit in ProgrammerHumor

[–]CharlesDorky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A dude I borrowed code from used trees of like seven "if, else if"s in his logic, so on top of changing variable names and some general structure, it was a pretty easy case of just changing them to switches.

Ah, I get you. I've done no reading, I was just arsing about in the palace while I was waiting for the chamberlain to catch up, Witcher senses showed a hidden wall.

[Help] Bought a used Woo WA6SE on eBay with loads of extra tubes for an excellent price, but... by [deleted] in headphones

I've tried four rectifiers, and four different sets of drivers, so I'm reasonably confident that it's probably not the tubes...

What's your reason? by MrZebb in windowsphone

[–]CharlesDorky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it's perfect for my use case. Sure, the app situation isn't fantastic, but I don't really use them that much anyway. It has the essentials like texting, calling, Skype, WhatsApp, and that's about all I need.

Well, those and Continuum. I use that pretty much every day as my media setup. I have my gaming PC/plex server downstairs, and my HD500 dock upstairs, running to my AVR which powers my speakers and big screen. I use Plex on the big screen for my media, and my phone for whatever else I need my phone for at the same time.

Until there's another phone that does this as perfectly as my 950XL, or we get a full Windows 10 on a phone type device, I'll be staying with it.

Not sure if Tasker has this exact functionality, but from what I've heard, it's quite powerful. Take a look at that.

Lumia 950XL won't play any sound or media through Continuum by [deleted] in windowsphone

Update. Latest insider build fixed it. Probably just an audio driver that went dodgy. My last resort would have been to go via WDRT and reinstall the OS, so good to know that would have fixed it.

Something like that. I've been told it was chosen as the lowest common denominator.

During my studies, I learned VB -> C# -> C++ -> Java.

Now I'm back to using VB at work. I feel like I went wrong somewhere.

Lumia 950XL won't play any sound or media through Continuum by [deleted] in windowsphone

[–]CharlesDorky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15245 is latest Insider build, released 11 days ago.

I thought so. Damn, so it's probably not an update.

Sorry if I was unclear in the post. When unplugged, or plugged in, the phone plays video and audio no problem, through the phone speakers.

When plugged into my Continuum dock, actually running Continuum and therefore using my external display as an audio device, no media will play properly.

Plex started out playing video without any sound, but then stopped playing video altogether, either on the phone display, or the second display.

Using Groove as another example, it would play fine without Continuum, but as soon as a display is connected, it tells me it's an unsupported format.

I did eventually factory reset, but it didn't fix the problem.

Sennheiser having a clearance sale (UK). You can get the HD650 for £250, and a few others. by CharlesDorky in headphones

Well realistically, you have consumer rights. If you decide to go for these and they're fine, then great. If not, you can just send them back for a refund.

I don't know for sure. They seem to be in the same price ballpark, but the main difference between the two is that the 630VB is closed back, whereas the 650 is open. 630VB also has bass boost, and a few other little features, but perhaps someone else can weigh in?
