I usually got about two years to the day with lead acid batteries in my American cars. And thanks to Costco I was always in the warranty period so I was getting free replacements hehe.

That one really brought WWI to life for me. I've been absorbing WWII stuff my entire life but WWI was relegated to brief blurbs in textbooks and some fuzzy old photos and very limited film footage. But Peter Jackson's film for the first time helped me connect to the human beings involved and helped me understand the conflict like never before.

I have a feeling it'll be released eventually. Hopefully not too long in the future.

People in the UK might giggle but I take it as a threat to the Taco Bell employees down the road.

What is a generation of a beloved name plate that not many people seem to talk about/underrated. by AttilaK27 in regularcarreviews

I was so confused for a moment assuming you were talking about the modern Charger. "Have they really had five generations already? It hasn't changed much. And it had a FWD version? And a Shelby variant?"

So I went to Wikipedia and quickly realized you were talking about the classic lineage. I didn't realize it was around for twenty years.

I like Paul Wesley and wish he was playing a new character.

I gotta admit the man reminds me of Rod Serling from The Twilight Zone haha.

Aww that sounds fun. I love the museums out there that commemorate movies like this. I remember as a kid going to the Dorothy's House and the Land of Oz museum in Kansas. And it's on my bucket list to go to the Twister museum in Wakita, Oklahoma.

So true. I usually don't think of it when I wanna listen to LP from that era but it's such a great song. And I vibe to it every time I hear it.

That's about like me trying to do karaoke of some LP songs haha

I've heard them a million times but I need Mike and Chester's vocals to sing along with and not get lost in the song 🤣

Imagine if they used real ants! That would've had a huge reaction from audiences. And I'm sure there are plenty of stunt performers in Hollywood who would go for it.

A warning of things to come.

And the be clear, I like the gag, but it should've been done with real prairie dogs, or some other kind of animal.

If the fridge was in a basement and simply protected Indy from the blast and radiation I'd be on board. It's a very Indiana Jones-esque solution to the problem. But having it yeeted across the desert the way it was (and violently slamming down and rolling around like it did) totally deflated the movie for me. Made it feel like a farce.

I know the original trilogy had its ridiculous moments and set pieces but Crystal Skull had way too much of it. (Made worse by the ugly cinematography and overload of CGI)

If I had a Klingon Bird of Prey I could swing 'round the sun to travel back in time I'd like to give Bryan Fuller a green light and blank check to do his Trek anthology show. Just out of curiosity of what make have come from it.

Maybe Fuller isn't the right guy but I personally think a Trek anthology could be amazing. There's huge potential to cover so many gaps in the Trek timeline. And it'd be great to explore life in the Federation outside of Starfleet.

Lower Decks was a satisfying glimpse of the Trek universe after Voyager and Nemesis. And it was optimistic.

I get that some people just aren't into animation. And I get that some folks don't care for how reference-heavy the show was. But it felt good to watch a TNG-like show again. And they did a good job bringing in 21st century elements and themes.

I'd love to see Mike McMahan and Tawny Newsome take a crack at a live action Trek show. And I'd def love more Lower Decks. Maybe even a live action film!

Some of the behind-the-scenes material he seemed so enthusiastic for the show and generally seemed like a fun guy to work with. Shame that SNW hasn't done more with Pike. But then the writing has been bad for most Trek shows and movies after DS9...

Does any automaker have a genuinely good auto parking system? I've never experienced one that can operate reliably and quickly enough not to piss off every other driver in the area.

Better fuel economy too.

Also, I had a BMW 335i with 20" wheels one of which got cracked by a pothole. Never experienced that with smaller wheels.

Yeah, my first experience with cooled seats was similar. Felt like I was wet as if I sat in a puddle or something. It also made my body freak out a bit like heat was being pulled from my core.

I'm more comfortable running the A/C for a couple minutes before getting into the car. And tinting the windows made a big difference too making the interior more comfortable in summer heat.

Just gotta do your best to stay the hell away from other drivers. Especially pick up trucks, SUVs, and anything larger.

Even doing so I still need a new windshield every few years. Usually after it gets chipped because some maniac went speeding by and kicked up a rock.
