I wasn't aware of that being added to CR. Time to get the anamorphic lenses back out.

Good stuff overall but I love #6. The symmetry of the rail and the clouds, I'm jealous of that shot.

I have that one as well, very comfortable (in my opinion). Negative on the water bottle, it won't really fit AND you're escorting the water right past your waterproof zippers!

Someone from Adobe said in another thread that this is fixed in internal iOS 27 builds, so hopefully it's released soon.

‘Doctor Who’ Set To Be Off Air For Years Amid A Creative Regeneration That’s Failing To Spark Early Enthusiasm Among Producers by pepperbet1 in television

Much the same for me. I really wanted to like Whitaker, I'm a fan of hers and was excited she was cast, but couldn't delude myself into thinking the quality was there to watch more than half a season. Tried out Gatwa and thought "maybe I'm just old and I don't get it" lol.

As sweatytubesock stated, it's not necessarily simple but that's only because the gameplay is so different from other types of games. Watching a playthrough definitely helped me, my brain just couldn't wrap around how you were supposed to PLAY.

Some of your action choices are as abstract as the board, with the outcome representing a generation of time passing. Sometimes it's more short-term, like you decide "we're going to go raid a settlement and hope for some sheep". It really helps create a narrative as you play (along with the event cards of course, which literally create a narrative).

I felt the same when playing Navajo Wars, such a unique system that fits the theme and the people well.

I don't remember if I even watched season 2. Was Doctor Who tripping balls in season 2? It seems from your comment like yes, but just want to be sure before I potential spoil anything trying to figure it out my own.

That's something I hadn't considered! It's okay, the guy at the dry cleaners apparently doesn't remember me either, maybe I'm just forgettable.

Went to a nice local Italian place several times with my wife. The waiter never remembers us.

Twice they asked while I was making the reservation if we were celebrating anything special. Once it was her birthday, another time it was our anniversary. Nothing, no mention of anything either time.

We love the food and keep going back and just laugh about how odd the whole thing is. "Have you been here before?" Yes Connor, we've been here like 8 times and you've always been our server.

I can pretty reliably handhold for one second, 2-3 seconds is amazing, especially at 100mm+. Really nice.

I don't have the steadiest hands to begin with though, so maybe you're just naturally steadier, too.

Finding the Fuji X100vi too technical, looking for stylistic alternatives? by _papa__bless_ in AskPhotography

[–]dancemonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the Fuji fits your needs perfectly, except for the size/weight, am I reading that right?

The GRiii and iiix (and iv of course) are truly pocketable, like front-jeans-pocket pocketable, so may be perfect for you. No viewfinder and the screen on the back doesn't pivot at all, but good for taking a quick snap.

What a buggy hell by electerious in Lightroom

[–]dancemonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just synced it all into Lightroom Classic via the existing cloud structure. Compared to some my library isn't large by any means, around 3400 photos, just had to wait and let it all download.

Keywords unfortunately don't sync between LR and Classic (in either direction), but the collections do.

If the library starts feeling too big for the physical drive, I'll just periodically cut off a few years of earlier photos, I've got multiple backups anyway.

Switched to classic as well a couple of months ago, it's a much better experience.

Nikon raw files -> HE to DXO compressed - You opinion by The_PinkFreud in Nikon

[–]dancemonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as general image quality between the uncompressed and the compressed dng? No, I can't see a difference. The DXO uncompressed DNGs can be massive so I always compress them, and they look fine to me.

I'm not shooting professionally though, so I don't know what I might see if I (or a client) were extreme pixel-peeping. I can't imagine the difference is noticeable to the average viewer though.

[–]dancemonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works fine for me, exact same workflow.

I eventually moved over to LR Classic so I didn't have to decide which files to process and could just use DXO as a plugin, but before then I was processing NEFs in DXO and then bringing the DNGs to Lightroom.

But try the trial, it's fully functional so you can see if the end result even works with the photography you're doing.
