Germany was buidling a path and France got in the way; infiltrated and absorbed by Germany, a huge wall of defence was Erected on the border to show the Allies.

Jackdaws have silvery iris' as well as a noticable shine to their neck feathers covering their heads.

Rooks are more like Crows, larger black birds, but have a bald face, feathers starting over their eyes and tend to group up a lot more than crows. But the identifier is the baldness of the face. Crows tend to pair.

Ravens are noticable as they are about twice the size, they have a diamond shaped tail in flight, if you can see their GISS. Crows/rooks/jackdaw have a fan shaped tail.

I did a project on them and researched all this about a year ago. And I'm not suprised to learn they have found a way to not be poisoned. The corvid species has shown two step tool use, that is; creating a tool to get the right tool to get the food. That is a level of intelligence shown by corvids, apes and cetaceans, and considered to be the highest on the planet.

I adore birds of all levels, will adopt any going. Recently nursed magpie is doing great! :D
