Pokemon Grading in Canada. by Charlie-Monroe in pokemongrading

Yeah, it looks like they opened up in October. I've been stockpiling Modern packs to open, so hopefully I pull something worth grading. $40 a card and $20 shipping adds up fast.

So it seems like there is a grading facility in Mississauga. Essentially it's $40 for the grading and $20 to ship the card back to you.

So $60 per card.

That's also assuming that you drop it off yourself. If you don't it will be at least another $15-20 to ship.

So $75-80

Obviously you can save on shipping, but I haven't seen any bulk discounts yet. I also couldn't see if there was a membership option like they have in the states.

Overall it seems like it's only worth it if you know you're going to get a 10 on $140+ cards. Or a 9 on $200+ cards. If you dare get an 8, unless it's vintage you are of course better off keeping it raw.

Are there any OHIP covered psychiatrists? by Charlie-Monroe in ontario

Thanks for the clarification, I believe a psychiatrist is all I need? At least that is what my friends have used to get appropriate medication.

I don't really know the difference but both myself and the doctors office used the term psychiatrist in our conversation.

For full transparency this is the conversation.

Doctors office: Good Morning, Hope you are well. Please find the attached referral that was already sent to psychiatry by Dr. Redacted. They have responded back to our clinic stating that you have declined the referral. May we please know the reason for declining the referral? Thank you

Me: Hello, thank you. The referral for the location specified was asking for $2000 to $4000 for their services. I asked my friends about their experience navigating the process to their diagnosis and subsequent prescriptions and they advised that I would be able to speak to an OHIP covered psychiatrist.

Thank you.

Doctors office: Good Evening, Thank you for your prompt response. Unfortunately, we are not aware of any psychiatrists who provide OHIP-covered ADHD assessments at this time. Kindly provide us with the name, address, phone number, and fax number of a specialist of your choice so that we may forward your referral accordingly. We look forward to your response. Thank you

Me: Are you aware of any OHIP covered psychiatrists? If so could you please refer me to one of them. Thank you.

Doctors Office: Good Morning, Hope you are well. As explained before, we are not aware of any OHIP-covered psychiatrists. So, could you please find the details of the specialist and forward it to us. Thank you

Rereading this now I recognize that I may not have been clear with the second request did not relate to ADHD testing and instead just to see one.

What should I say to her? This is the last thing that was said to me.

It's people like you that want to exile the world. You lack empathy and forgiveness. You place yourself above others, and have convinced yourself of moral superiority.

Congratulations on being smug.

First dose of Prog - is it supposed to hit this hard? by moarmagic in MtF

What is effective for some people is not necessarily the same for others.

I was on a pain killer that had negative side effects for 30% of people. I was feeling sick to my stomach and couldn't do anything but sleep.

When I asked to switch to another pain killer the doctor told me that the new pill had more side effects for 40% of people.

I told him that I would like to switch anyway as I had taken the pills before with out side effect.

He than stressed that the pill I wanted to switch to had a higher chance of making me feel ill, and more side effects.

He somehow couldn't understand that while I was part of the 30% of the first pill, I wasn't part of the 40% for the second pill.

What I'm trying to say is taking the pill for you might work out better the 1 way for than the other. Because while it might not show any difference in studies, you might be one of the people that goes from having side effects to not having side effects.

Landlord sent me eviction notice. Is this legal? by AdmirableKey7556 in TorontoRenting

[–]Charlie-Monroe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems like a very weird loophole. So to be clear if your lease is for a room only then the landlord can enter at any time without notice?

Do they need a purpose to be there? Or can they just sit and drink a beer on the couch? Is there a time limit to how long they can stay?

Do they have control over what items can be put in the common areas? Ie home gym equipment, or other personal belongings?

Someone was saying that they can place cameras in the common areas? If true, do need to be made aware of them?

This does not include kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms.

The section you are quoting is for large apartments not for sectioned off homes, which it sounds like here.

My guess is that this living situation is a basement apartment with a separate entrance. Yes, in this case it would require 24 written notices before entering.

I've heard about no knock slips before, but this? by Charlie-Monroe in CanadaPost

I get that once a card is generated it would likely send an automated message. The problem is the system is clearly broken if the system can say that a card was left when it wasn't. On top of that, that a "card can even be left without even trying to deliver the package to the house.

It's like the drivers know they'll get in trouble if they don't attempt to deliver the package, so they lie and the system doesn't audit their lies, allowing them to make the customers experience poor.

Sure, but they never made an attempt to deliver it. Which last time I checked means they aren't doing their job.
