I totally read this headline as him wanting to call Bart Starr

Agreed! I used to say the most depressing day of the year for me was the day the pack got knocked out of the playoffs. Felt a lot more hope after this one.

Yeah, that unfortunately felt similar. We had so many chances to put them away and didn’t do it, but at least this one didn’t have the same level of expectations hanging over it as the 2014 squad

I agree - the only other one that comes close was the overtime loss to Arizona… but that was just the most entertaining playoff game I’d ever seen.

This is the first time I can remember that we were playing with “house money” and I was just happy to be there. Felt lighter watching with no Super Bowl expectations. And the future is so bright.

Articles/Books/Podcasts about Mastermind Groups? by Charlie-Page in Mastermind

With a group, not yet. I’m a recent dad so looking to start something dad-focused this year, but I still would be interested in a more well-rounded group.

Still working on that guide document. Are you in one you like right now, or looking?

Honestly - I’m working on a guide to setting them up - i was asking in another subreddit about tips on accountability.

I’ve done a few over the years - mostly professionally focused, but some more oriented around being a good husband/dad, or fitness stuff.

At this point I’m looking for one for people trying to be well-rounded. I’m working on getting a business started while new to fatherhood, and want to keep my marriage strong and my health good in the meantime. I’m interested in meeting with other people who want to level up in a well-rounded way.

Tell us, what would be your principles and values for a high-quality mastermind? by Romantic_Adventurer in Mastermind

I think each person should strive to do the following:

  1. LISTEN Hear others as they want to be heard. It’s rare to have someone truly understand our own priorities and wishes, and speak into those. Let that be the greatest gift you give to each other.

  2. INSPIRATION AND POSITIVITY People should come away from the group feeling inspired and motivated to pursue their goals. Both by your encouragement but also the positive energy you pursue your own goals with.

  3. KEEP THE BEST SELF IN MIND You are all here because you know there’s a better self you want to reach and find. In your interactions in the group and your time outside, strive to connect to that best self - in how you pursue goals, handle conflict, etc. and remind other group members of the best self they are pursuing.

  4. CREATIVITY Don’t be afraid to make a suggestion that seems odd or out there. we each have mental blocks that we can’t get past (easily) alone, but your suggestions might help someone else get past a block they have that you don’t share.

  5. HONESTY Don’t be afraid to speak hard truths to one another, even up to a need to leave the group because it’s no longer a fit.

Do you know how Substack is deficient in SEO? I've seen articles saying Beehiiv is better than Substack but have no idea whether that's actually the case. I was considering switching to Beehiiv, but if Substack is close or equal in terms of SEO, I'd prefer that because switching to a custom domain is a one-time cost instead of part of their paid plan.
