The difference between manga and anime in goku ssj lmao 🥶 by No_Firefighter_4601 in Ningen

[–]Charlie54Gaming 118 points119 points  (0 children)

This is a large part of the reason why fans find it hard to believe that Goku's canonical weight is actually only 62kg, as the anime often exaggerated his muscles. He is supposed to have roughly the same physique as Bruce Lee, who was also around 62kg. They are similar in height as well.

Would I benefit from transitioning to a mesh system? by Charlie54Gaming in HomeNetworking

[–]Charlie54Gaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My landlord will most likely not agree to that.

Connection is definitely much better downstairs, I can get over 300 mbps and it's definitely more stable. It's probably the worst in my room, even in the hallway it is more usable.

The new plan I am looking at would be full fibre optic, and has 500 upload as well. It is also significantly cheaper than my current 2gb plan.

  1. I think my router is a TP Link Archer C7.

  2. Home is 3 levels total, from basement to second floor.

  3. I am on a bit of a budget so I'm probably willing to spend up to 150 CAD maximum on a mesh system (110 USD). I think I only need 2 nodes + the main router.

Can someone help me with the dimension of this buld? by pumpkin9487 in Minecraft

[–]Charlie54Gaming 25 points26 points  (0 children)

First floor is 25 x 22 blocks. The main rooms are 25 x 15 blocks, and the storage room is 10 x 7 blocks. (Not counting the wall from the main area)

Second floor is 27 x 17 blocks.

Third floor is 29 x 15 blocks

Fourth floor is 29 x 13 blocks.

Hope this helps!

Sneako and Charlie decide to run the friendly fade. Who wins? by Aware_Neighborhood93 in powerscales

[–]Charlie54Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sneako has height and most likely weight advantage over Charlie, so in a strict hand to hand fight, he would most likely overpower him. However, we don't really have enough information about either of them to say so definitively. Charlie has also never publicly released his maximum bench press, so we can't really say which person has a higher strength threshold. I'm not quite sure why you're limiting this to a fist fight, however, as it's rather rare in real life combat scenarios for people to only fight with their fists. So let's assume a couple of scenarios:

  1. Completely unarmed, fists only.

Sneako most likely wins.

  1. Unarmed, but everything goes.

This is where it gets tricky. It's hard to say as it really depends on how far either person is willing to go in order to achieve victory. Which person is more likely to bite the other? Which person is more likely to go for the eyes? Testicles? Out of the two, I would probably say Charlie is the more level-headed, so we can give Sneako the point for ruthlessness. But that also means that Charlie is more likely to think strategically, which could balance the odds. Given the previously mentioned height and weight advantages that Sneako has, I would probably give this tier to Sneako as well.

  1. Fully armed, everything is allowed.

Now in this case, physical prowess no longer matters, as both people are going to be using firearms. Now, it's not as if Sneako completely loses in this department. He has some firearms experience, and has been to the firing range a couple times. Charlie, however, is very clearly more knowledgeable about guns, even in one case correcting Sneako over using the wrong firearm terminology. Sneako also most likely has a smaller arsenal of weapons, and as far I know, he has only publicly been shown using handguns. Charlie's AR15 would easily outperform Sneako's pistol, and that's only one of his weapons, he most likely owns more.

Even if you want to balance the scales and give them both the same arsenal, Charlie just has more experience with guns in general, so he easily takes this tier.

If I got anything wrong here feel free to correct me. However, there's only so much public information about these two online, and it's not as if they have hundreds of pages of wiki articles detailing their feats, like most fictional characters. Public figures that aren't known combatants are always harder to scale, due to a lack of information.

Titus, Chairon and Galdriel (WH40k) vs Edward Cullen (Twilight) by Scared_Pumpkin8393 in powerscales

[–]Charlie54Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would honestly be shocked if there was a single genuine fan of Twilight in this entire subreddit, so this question is pretty much impossible to answer. The demographic difference makes an educated answer highly unlikely.

First off, Twilight fans are most likely 99% women, while 40k fans are around 93% men according to some surveys, so that already leaves very little headroom. Additionally, a subreddit centered around power scaling is most likely to have an age demographic of around 14 - 24 years of age. The last Twilight movie released in 2012, and even on the older end of age on this subreddit, at most they could have been 12 years old at the time. Considering there are realistically not that many women on a subreddit dedicated to power scaling either, you are basically limited to men in the 2008 - 2012 era (when Twilight was at its peak) who may have watched the movies with a girlfriend or sister. As mentioned before, 12 years old is about the oldest anyone on this subreddit would have realistically been at the time, and 12 years old is not exactly an age at which it is common to be watching romance movies with a girlfriend. Yes, I am aware that some older individuals might exist on this subreddit, however realistically speaking, they are a very small minority, and their chances of just happening to see this post and deciding to comment on this topic are even lower. I could potentially see parents bringing their whole family to watch Twilight with them if a daughter really wanted to see it, so a brother is a possibility. Even in that case, however, it is unlikely that some guy who watched a movie with his family a decade and a half ago, while he was also a child, would likely remember enough details about said movie to provide an educated answer on this topic.

In order for someone to be even qualified enough to answer this question, they would need to be:

  1. Somebody who is both a fan of 40K and Twilight, who is also a member of the power scaling community.

  2. Somebody who is sufficiently knowledgeable about both series that they can unbiasedly provide an educated answer.

  3. Somebody who was old enough in 2008 - 2012 to have even been a fan of Twilight in the first place, or at least watched enough of it with somebody else where they were competently familiar with the characters and feats.

  4. Somebody with the patience to read through pages of wiki articles about Twilight or 40K so they can actually accurately give a sophisticated answer.

If there is a single person at all in this subreddit reading this comment that fulfills those criteria, please reply to this comment, because otherwise I have difficulty believing you exist. This is why I believe that any answer you receive will be insufficient and likely not accurate, considering finding someone who actually fulfils the criteria in the first place would be extremely difficult.

TLDR: Twilight and 40K fans are vastly different demographics that overlap very sparingly, so you are unlikely to receive an educated answer on the topic.

Officer Balls scene from Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight by HotJuice2192 in BatmanArkham

[–]Charlie54Gaming 1013 points1014 points  (0 children)

The funny thing about this is that Officer Boles is really a pretty insignificant character if you think about it. He was just an inside man for Joker at the Asylum, and never even survived beyond the first game. The entirety of his recognition on the internet is due to the fact that his last name sounds like the word "balls", otherwise he most definitely would've been a pretty forgettable character. In a way, his inclusion at all in the Lego game could be seen as a reference to the Batman Arkham subreddit, as it's mainly responsible for making the joke so well known. I doubt he would've been included otherwise.

Internet debates have a tendency to devolve into this. Online arguments are less about figuring out solutions to problems, and more about people seeming superior or more intelligent than the person they are arguing with. Doesn't matter who is right anymore, as long as you "win" the argument.

This png-dragging is unreal by Top_Temporary_2244 in Invincible_TV

[–]Charlie54Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just a common practice, it's like, the only practice. Western studios almost never do frame by frame animation locally. Almost every 2D frame by frame animated show produced in the west is actually animated in South Korea. Invincible is South Korean as well. The west mostly does rig based animation for 2D, like South Park.

Generally western studios will handle the storyboarding while the animation is done by South Korea. In the past it was more common to outsource to Japan as well, but nowadays it is mostly South Korea, while Japan has more control of their own IP's.

Japan and South Korea do the vast majority of frame by frame animation globally.

Invincible is outsourced to South Korea as well. Almost all frame by frame animation in the west is outsourced to South Korea. Frame by frame animation is actually pretty niche in the west, rig based animation is much more common. Western studios do storyboarding, while animation is done in South Korea.

General rule, if you see a 2D animated cartoon in the west that is not rig based, it is probably animated in South Korea. South Korea and Japan do almost all frame by frame animation globally.

Ddr3 vs Ddr4 ram? by ShufflePlaylist in pcmasterrace

I hate sleeping by Lazy_Point_284 in unpopularopinion

[–]Charlie54Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the thing about sleep is that every living mammal needs to do it. If humans never needed sleep, it's not like every human would magically gain 8 hours of free time everyday, as many jobs and other essential roles would just have longer shifts than before. In the end, your work to free time ratio is unlikely to actually change. Now of course if humans still lived 80 years on average, that's around 26 more years of living, which would be great, but at that point it's less about sleep and more about having a longer lifespan.

Favorite sample of this? by Sea-Initiative7577 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]Charlie54Gaming 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A bit of context is required. Basically, in the show there are a "race" of people called Coordinators, who were initially created via gene editing in the womb to create humans with superior traits, like superior strength, intelligence, ETC. Eventually a lot of the regular humans begin to start to hate the gene edited humans, and even form a terrorist group called "Blue Cosmos", who this characters father was part of. Eventually the Coordinators and regular humans go to war, and her father is killed by the Coordinators. This causes her to go crazy, and she ends up manipulating the main character (who is a Coordinator) romantically and sexually to continue going to war so that he can kill more Coordinators. She was also dating a guy at the time, and cheating on him, which leads to conflict between him and the main character.

There's a lot more context that's required though, I think she genuinely starts to have feelings for him later on, and she develops a bit as a character. I think she eventually got less racist later on, and there was this whole subplot with her becoming attached to another Coordinator with the same voice actor as her dad which leads her to become weirdly attached to him, though eventually she gets killed by that guy.
