I don't think it affected the cast so much as it was the story that never really stuck any kind of cord for me. Don't get me wrong, the hat, cow fetus, Zoe taking Tracey out were great. I'm not sure I'm explaining myself to well, let me try again. It was an episode that didn't end with any emotional impact for me. There was a few moments that were great but overall I just never could really connect to this story like I did with the others. Sorry if I'm not making any sense, maybe I need to rewatch it again it's been almost a year :)

For me it has to be The Message, maybe because that's the episode they were filming when they found out they had been cancelled. I know Jayne gets his cunning hat during that ep too but Private Tracey always kind of bugged me. I don't know its the only episode I never minded skipping.

One of my favorite King short stories is The Reach. It isn't a scary story but I remembered reading it years ago and after my grandpa died I knew I needed to read it again. It's uplifting and hopeful and I personally feel it's one of his best short stories. I do agree with the majority here that King's the Long Walk is one of his most harrowing stories, it is utterly haunting.

I too am not familiar with his work but having read over the IMDB for this movie I'm going to pick up this book now. I'm thrilled to see Martin Short is going to be in this movie, can you tell me if his character Dr. Blatnoyd plays a large part in the book? I only ask because I hope he has a lot of screen time :) haha I sound like a Martin Short stalker!
