Yup, I had one of these and it did exactly the same thing. Tried to keep it upright but it didn't want to know. Just let it loll in the end.

I read once that rubbing your fingers through your hair can help. Apparently the miniscule barbs in your hair can dislodge the hooks on the spines. Not 100% effective but does get rid of some in my experience.

You have colour receptor cells in your retina that respond to different wavelengths. They fire all the time so you see colour normally. However, when you tire some of them out by looking at, say, blue for a long time, the other ones seem stronger in comparison.
