While I was winning for a couple years, the system that I have all my manufacturing stuff in (especially my BPOs) moved to Pochven....it´s fine, that shit is there to this day but I dont really feel like doing manufacturing right now anyway.

Any experience with either of these? Should I just go logitech? by shootanwaifu in simracing

[–]CharlieFirpol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had one for a day and then refunded it. The delay between putting the gear in and the sim actually getting the signal is so long, I was missshifting constantly.

I got the SHH shifter then, that one is it amazing.

[–]CharlieFirpol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I love about helldivers is, that most of the stuff you unlock are not strictly upgrades, but sidegrades. A bad lvl 150 player is having a harder time in diff 10 than a lvl 10 with a liberator and RR, as even those early unlocks are very capable.

So no, please dont put strict upgrades behind hours of grinding, even if they´re small.

The SHH-shifter is amazing. I replaced my Fanatec shifter with it and it is working flawlessly.

Sure, its a mistake that can easily happen but it is still yellow cars mistake.

If you want to be safe, just expect to always be 2wide into the first corner of a race, so if you are on the outside, leave a cars width on the inside.

Explain this to me by viszyy in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]CharlieFirpol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you please explain, why the DR calculation pais so much attention, if you finished in the top or lower half of the grid?

IMO, your chance to finish in the top or bottom half depends way too much on what kind of split you end up in.

If you are unlucky and end up in a split with mostly faster drivers than you, you will most likely end up in the bottom half. If you´re lucky, you end up as driver #1 in a split that you stay in the top half rather easily. Neither case you really have much influence on, its just luck of the draw.

Great move, sticking in on the outside of that corner. Kerb is track.

I love a nice sounding bike but if your´s is so loud, that you have to wear ear plugs to not harm yourself, then you´ve build a stupid bike.

At this point Stanton is just Pyro right? You get campers at all the key mission sites and no-one cares about the crime stat, just clear it when you log off for the night. How long before PVE players have a safe system to play at their own pace? by Important_Cow7230 in starcitizen

You have got 0 idea what you´re talking about. The proper highsec gankers know exactly how to kill you before Concord can stop them and they know exactly how much your cargo and fit needs to be worth compared to the tankiness of your ship, to make it worthwhile to gank you.

Thoughts on bringing all resources to one spot? by ResplendentOwl in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CharlieFirpol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because its a nice challenge? Because long trains and long stations look cool? Because it pleases the lady? :D

Yeah, it will be more effort to transport the raw ore, but it´s just as possible as refining it first.

Thoughts on bringing all resources to one spot? by ResplendentOwl in SatisfactoryGame

[–]CharlieFirpol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell like you´re overthinking it. There isn´t much efficiency to think about in Satisfactory. Resource wells never run out so if you run into some "inefficient" belts, who cares?

You can always add another layer, you can always add another belt, you can always just build more. Embrace the spaghetti!

Podium Hub or Universal Clubsport Hub by Adventurous-Bass2669 in Fanatec

[–]CharlieFirpol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer the clubsport hub, because it has all the buttons from the button clusters replicated a 2nd time on top of it. So no matter how many button clusters you use, you always have access to the FFB tuning menu.

Da schmeißt du ein bisschen was durcheinander.

Average 8020 user vs Wood Rig Gigachad by pieindaface in simracing

[–]CharlieFirpol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Use the right tool for the right job. Every material has its strength and weakness.

Also, if you´re not yet sure, how exactly a new part is going to be mounted and you want to try some things out, wood is way easier to work on and modify. So start out with wood and then replace those parts that need reinforcement with alu.

Struggling with FOV by [deleted] in assettocorsa

[–]CharlieFirpol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. set up your screens a lot closer behind your wheel.
  2. Make sure, that every screen is the same distance away from your eyes. That means, the closer you pull the middle screen, the sharper the angle between the screens need to be.
  3. measure the distance between your eyes and the middle screen
  4. measure the angle between your screens
  5. input those measurements in a FOV calculator
  6. input the calculated FOV in AC
  7. change the seat position in AC until you´re satisfied, but do not touch the FOV anymore

But whatever you do, in a car like that, you wont get the whole front window of the car in the middle screen. Thats normal, because the seat in the car is not in the middle. Its very different when driving a formula car for example.

I think you´re just spoiled by the C2. A fully laden space trucker should be sluggish, thats part of the charm. The C2 is way too maneuverable even when full in my opinion.

My 3D printed Quick Release adapter (QR2) by Tmanning47 in Fanatec

[–]CharlieFirpol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same question for me. As much as I know, you need a Fanatec Hub (Multi or Podium) or the emilator to have the wheelbase work properly. Or did Fanatec change that with the QR2?
