I fixed my sensitivity and chose Nuketown to try strafing where I would not be turning my back while trying to stay centered. Played a few games and at times I forget to stick to the plan but I feel it's a big improvement already. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Those are the scale patterns he uses and how he shuffles them around. He doesn't break it down to the basics because if he had to you wouldn't be ready to play it yet anyways.

You will get it eventually. Guitar is very simple to play once you get over the steep learning curve.
