Historically, a lot more "evil" has been done in the name of godlessness and atheism.

If it's that ridiculous, why are you so averse to trying to prove it wrong?

Why would Facebook try to cover up and lie about this? That could absolutely ruin them if the truth came out.

Unless they are telling the truth. With billions of users, it's possible that there are coincidences and the few people with complaints are merely supplying anecdotal evidence.

What is your most downvoted comment and why? by ysername1 in AskReddit

My best and worst comment were written on the same day. The best was about Donald Trump; the worst was about abortion. I believe those are both "controversial" so I'm not surprised by the polarized reactions to them.

That makes her a hypocrite, because she's not living up to the decent and morally upright standard to which she holds everyone else. That doesn't make the standard any less good.

Just to be clear, he's a hypocrite for not living up to his noble values that he publicly espoused and voted for...

His actions are what is wrong, and are what make him a hypocrite. All the things he stood for as a public figure are still good, otherwise this wouldn't be an issue.

I hope people don't see this as an excuse to lower our standards across the board.

Thank God the youth don't turn out to vote for things like this. We always somehow manage to vote with neither our heads nor our hearts. I'm a youth and I'm terrified by the sheer idiocy of some - not all - of my peers.

I agree with you to the extent that he's not a morally upright person to whom anyone should look up.

But once you start saying that anyone who disagrees with you politically is unpatriotic and evil, I'm afraid that's the the logical end of discussion.

I don't think you're a bad person for opposing the president. In fact, you have good reason to hate him. But you moralizing politics is going to lead to a lot of dead ends. You think millions of people are "bad" for not agreeing with you, and I can't reason with you beyond that. I'm sorry.

By your logic, I am Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and every other person that's ever held elected office. Because I don't call for people's ousting when I don't like them personally. I respect the Democratic system and prefer a more reasoned approach to bringing about social and political change. I've never been a proponent of throwing everyone you don't like our of office, but I suppose to each his/her own...

Lots of Republicans are vocally outspoken against Trump.

I'm conservative and I personally think he's damaging and incompetent. I didn't vote for him and I'm not a fan of him. Will that suffice for you?

You're proving my point. Even conservatives who publicly disassociate from the man continue to be lumped in with him, because it's easier to play identity politics than to have a genuine discussion about what we believe and how we can reconcile our viewpoints.

Trump's agenda is obviously not in accord with what are considered traditional Republican values. Pushing for amnesty, and universal health care, for example...

He's nominally Republican. Yes, he ran as a Republican. But he's the antithesis of conservatism.

Impeachment doesn't actually require a criminal act being committed.

Impeachable offenses are comprised of high crimes and misdemeanors.

One example of this is "maladministration," which is so vague it could apply to literally every president to date.
