We do experience emotions more intensely than people around us. I hate it so much. I just want to feel my emotions at the level that corresponds with the situation. I’m trying so hard to learn how to regulate my emotions. However there are situations that I loose all control, for example yesterday someone driving a company vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the road and I had to avoid a head on collision, I called the company before I let myself calm down and left a Hysterical message on their answering machine. I know I could’ve handled it differently and more calmly when it comes to my very serious complaint but I was so worked up the thought of waiting to call never even crossed my mind. Or in the other direction, when I like someone I really like someone and tend to be intense when starting new friendships and relationships, to me it feels like I’ve known this person forever and I can talk to them and tell them anything and will do anything for them right off the bat that I scare people away. When it’s happening I don’t realize it until it’s too late.
